Press

when you are at the Groove selection screen.
Boss challenge mode
The boss challenge mode will become available under these two
conditions. Both hidden Bosses (Ultimate Rugal, Shin Akuma) must
already be beaten and available. Then hold
X
+
Y
and press
Start
while you are highlighting arcade mode.
Hidden Bosses
The hidden Bosses can be used once they have been beaten. The
conditions of the Bosses to appear are to fulfill two out of the
three conditions listed below. If you play with a Capcom groove you
will receive Ultimate Rugal, and if you play with a SNK groove you
will receive Shin Akuma.
Attain over 1500 GPS by the end of the game.
Beat the Middle Boss (Geese or Bison/Vega).
Attain at least one Finest KO.
Custom Grooves
The Custom Groove option appears once a normal Boss has been
beaten (normal Akuma or Rugal). The normal Bosses appear by
fulfilling two of the four conditions below.
Attain
over 1000 GPS by the end of the game.
Attain
four or more special KOs.
Middle Boss has appeared.
Attain
two or more LV3 super combo KOs.
One on three tag team mode
Just highlighter any fighter when at the character selection
screen and then press a button. Then allow time to run out and the
game will start in one on three tag team mode.
Note:
Make sure not to select one on one battle mode.
Infinite custom groove
Beat everyl character straight in survival mode. The custom
groove option settings will then become infinite.
Middle Boss conditions
The middle Boss appears when these conditions have been
fulfilled:
No time over has occurred.
The CPU has not made over six "first attacks".
The CPU has not made three or more Special KOs.
Victory quotes
Just hold
Start
+
FP
after you win a stage to make your character say an opponent quote.
Then hold
Start
+
FK
to make the character talk with a team member.
Extra options
First clear Boss challenge mode with no continues used. The
"Extra Option" will now become available in the game.
Extra color edit mode options
Press
Start
while modifying the colors for your character to show more options
on the left side of the screen.
Hints & Tips
Obtaining a Finest KO
Just beat up your opponent until his/her life is low enough to
finish them off by using a special KO. Then stand near your opponent
and wait for them to taunt you. Then, preform the special move and
you will receive a finest KO. You also have to either defeat the
mini-Boss, or get 1500 GPS before you finish the last round in Osaka
to reach Ultimate Rugal.
Easier survival mode
After making the Extra Options available, go to "Option Mode" at
the main menu. Then go to "Extra Options", select "Player One Life
Gauge Type" and change it to "No Damage". Then, go to "Groove Gauge
Type" and switch it to "Infinite". After this, begin survival mode
and beat all 46 characters without receiving damage and your Groove
Bar will stay full.
Street Fighter 2 music
First set up a match with Ryu versus Sagat in training mode. And
at times music from Street Fighter 2 will play.
Easier Boss challenge mode
First choose a good fighter like Ken or Ryu. Then when you are
facing the final Boss, if you are losing by one round and there is
not much power left, press
Start
on controller two and redo until you do win.
Or use Haomaru the samurai. He does look weak and slow, but his
slash and jump slash has a extensive range and also does a lot of
damage. If you jump around with Airguard equipped and slash at the
proper time, you will not have a problem beating any Boss.
