In-game reset
Hold
L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + Select + Start while playing.

Get a Chocobo
To acquire a Chocobo as a pet, have a Final Fantasy 8 saved game on the same memory card as the one used for Legend Of Mana. Enter the save screen, highlight the Final Fantasy 8 file, then exit out of the save screen. When you catch a bird egg in the eastern section of Domina it should hatch into a Chocobo.

Land Bopper mini-game
Obtain nine lands in full view on the world map (which should resemble a slanted tic-tac-toe board). Hold
L1 button for roughly four seconds to get the Land Bopper start screen to appear.

New Game + feature
After finishing the game for the first time, load the game that is next to a music symbol. This will give you a "New Game +" feature. This game will allow access to your old level, items, weapons, and instruments. When you start out in your home, go to the study (the room to the right down the stairs). Find the encyclopedias and go to the "Forbidden Tome".

Easy Experience Crystals and Lucre
Proceed to Norn Peaks after you raze Drakonis. Go to the top of the mountain and Akravator will be there. Demolish him and leave the room. Return and he will be there once again. You can keep repeating this to get as many Experience Crystals and Lucre as you like.

Get "Fastest Wheel"
Finish the "Catchin' Lilipeas" quest and have a saved game from Chocobo Racing on the same memory card as the one used for Legend Of Mana. Highlight the Chocobo Racing file, then leave the save screen. Go to Polpota Harbor. On the Polpota Harbor map screen Skippy, the thin big eared creature from the "Catchin' lilipeas" and "Huntin' Du'cate" quests, will appear and hand you a ring item called "Fastest Wheel."

Rare items in Geo
If you want a place where you can purchase Holy Water, Ishe Platinum, and more, place Geo as far away from your house as possible on the map. Then, go to the inn. Inside you will find a Teapo that sells minerals that it has mined. You will get Ishe Platinum, and more regularly, Holy Water.

Get both main characters in party
Have a saved game file for both characters. Then go to Geo or the house in Domina with the mailbox that has ears on it. For Geon talk to Duelle (onion boy). If you are alone, he will ask if you want to call a friend. Answer "Yes". Depending on who you are using, choose the other save with the other character. Then, leave the arena with both characters. In Domina just walk up to the door and press
X.

Secret sword
Have a saved game from SaGa Frontier 2 on the same memory card as the one used for Legend Of Mana. Enter the save screen, highlight the SaGa Frontier 2 file, then leave the save screen. Go into Bone Fortress and head toward the bridge where you fought the DeathBringer. There will be two skeletons at that spot. When you approach them, them you will battle DeathBringer 2. After beating it, you will get the strongest sword from SaGa Frontier 2.

Easy Lucre
After obtaining the frozen heart "AF", beat the Boss and re-enter the level. Instead of going to the Field Of Lost Guilt, move right. Go in and out to get Dragon Eggs that sell for 5,000 or 500 Lucre.

Go to Luon Highway and battle Spiny Cones and Stinger Bugs. Try to win some Wind Caps from Spiny Cones and Clear Feathers from Stinger Bugs. Proceed to your house and Temper the Wind Caps with Clear Feathers. Finish after you get three Lord Of Flies cards on one Wind Cap. Take the Wind Cap to the closest store and sell it. You should be able to sell one Wind Cap for 26,000+ Lucre. If not, add more Clear Feathers to it.

Shadow Zero mini-game
Finish the then "Jewel hunter" quests (The Lost Princess, The Flame of Hope, Drowned Dreams, The Looking-Glass Tower, The Lucky Clover, Cosmo, Two Pearls, Alexandrite, Flourite, and Tear Drop Crystal). When those events are completed, go to the bar in Domina on Salamander day. You should see a Shadow Zero standing near the counter. Talk to him to play the mini-game.

Hints & Tips

Hit a monster non-stop
Hit a monster once and do not hit again until slightly after you would normally hit it a normally attack sequence. If timed properly, you will repeat the same attack that was just preformed. For example, if you are holding a staff, your attack would resemble 1-2-3-4-rest-1-2-3-4-rest. However, if you time your hits slightly after each other, they will resemble 1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-1-etc. This type of attack will also immobilize most monsters and Bosses (except when they are about to do a special move). You cannot do this attacks that use
Square.

Final Fantasy Adventure reference
Sometimes while playing you will receive an item called "Topple Cotton". Topple is the first town you visit in Final Fantasy Adventure on the Game Boy.

There are also other items referring to Final Fantasy Adventure. Some of these are IshePlatinum, which refers to the town of Ish/Ishe, MenosBronze, referring to Menos, and WendelSilver, referring to Wendel.

Renaming items
While on the menu screen, gp to the equip menu. Select the item of your choice, select the status of the item, and press
X(2x's) on the item. A name creation screen will now appear, allowing you to enter the name of your choice.

Killing Pee-wee Birdie
To kill the tiny annoying egg with feet (Pee-wee birdie) talk to it fifteen times and it will explode.

Common crab mistake
To be baffled while trying to step on every crab in the beach, catch an aquatic egg. Once in awhile it may hatch into a crab identical to the ones on the beaches. If you have this crab in your team, you may mix him up with the crabs that can be stepped on, and you will be pursuing your own while the others get away.

Getting pet crabs to live in your house
Whenever you help the pirate ship captain, he will give you a pet crab. The crab is kept alive in your office. Just be sure when you enter the office not to touch it, or it will die immediately.

Locations of different types of Monster Egg
To raise a certain class of monster you need a certain type of egg to have any chance of getting that monster. For example, if you desire a Land Dragon, whose class is Dragon, as a pet you would need to hatch a Dragon type egg to have a chance of acquiring it. The locations of the different types of egg are listed below.

Aerial egg: Luon Highway (Boss location), Norn Peaks (nowhere special 1).
Aquatic eggs: Madora Beach (extreme right of area), SS Buccaneer (lowest room)
Arthropod eggs: Norn Peaks (nowhere special 2)
Beast eggs: The White Forest (nowhere special)
Demi-Human eggs: ??? (???)
Demonic eggs: Jungle (nowhere special)
Dragon eggs: Fieg Snowfields (Boss location)
Morph eggs: Gato Grottoes (Boss location)
Oddity eggs: Ulkan Mines (Boss location)
Plant eggs: Jungle (Boss location)
Poltergeist eggs: Junkyard (nowhere special), Tower of Leires(Boss location)
Reptile eggs: Luon Highway (in the cave)
Undead eggs: The Bone Fortress (Boss location)

Note: The eggs can typically be found where the area's Boss was located, but not always. They appear in the same places the Spirits (Salamander, Shade, etc.) appear. Sometimes nothing will appear in that location enter and exit that screen until they do appear. A few Egg/Spirit locations will not work until certain mini-quests (see the Diary) are have been finished.

Six Wisdom usual locations

Gaeus the Earth: He is always passing time at the Luon Highway.
Olbohn the Warrior: Has his own room in The Underworld.
Pokiehl the Bird: After The Tree of Mana appears he can be found at its base. Before that, you may meet him once or twice during your adventures.
Rosiotti the Beast: He can always be found perched on his throne in The Jungle.
Selva the Wind: He can be found at the forking path near the temple in The Gato Grottoes. It is said that he likes to travel though...
Tote the Turtle: He likes the view from the cliff at Lake Kilma.

Monster Eggs
The most regular places for monster eggs to appear are locations which had Boss fights. If when you enter a latest battle area and a monster egg is not there, leave that room and then go back until one appears. When you find one, map out the most common areas that the monster eggs wander around and leave food every place it usually goes.
Note: You can only have five pieces of food out at a time.

To get Monster Eggs without using food, hide behind it without being seen until a cloud with "..." appears over its head. Then, swiftly snatch it. Do not worry if you have people following you Monster Eggs will not notice them.

Locations of Rare Tempering Materials

Orihalcon is most simply obtained In the Junkyard. An enemy called the Punkster will drop it rarely when beaten.
Dragons Blood and Dragons Breath are occasionally dropped when any member of the Dragon species (Land Dragon, Sky Dragon, Kid Dragon) is beaten. A Kid Dragon can be found in the Bone Fortress.
Holy Water is found in a couple of treasure chests throughout the game.

Artifacts
During the game you will receive "Artifacts" that allow you to create towns, caves, etc. This a complete list of the Artifacts and the lands they create.

Items with value
If during the course of the game you find your characters Lucre (funds) a tad low, go to the SS Bucaneer. Once there, make your way to the lower deck area and go into the left door on the bottom of the screen. This will put you in the forecastle. Here and in the next room are the Polter Box enemies (which look a lot like a treasure chest). The Polter Box frequently drops three different valuable crystals. The Sun and Moon crystals each sell for 750 Lucre. The Glow crystal sells for 1,000 Lucre. Go in and out of the room to bring the enemies back as many times as you like. If you have not obtained the SS Bucaneer yet go to the second floor of the Bone Fortress and battle the Kid Dragon at this spot. He will ocassionally drop a Dragon Steak, which is worth 1,000 Lucre. The Kid Dragon will also drop Dragon Breath which is very useful in tempering swords and sells for 300 Lucre.

In the town where you have to sell lamps for someone, you will encounter small caveman-type people that only speak with the following words.

Two player duel
If you want to battle a friend, travel to Geo and go to the uppermost dot. Go into the building and go past Sotherbee into the basement. Continue down once again and talk to the Garlic Guy. You can fight against an NPC or a friend's character.

Forge and temper strong swords
To forge either a one handed sword with an attack power of 245 or a two handed sword with an attack power of 307 you will need these items.

One piece of Orihalcon (this method may work with other metals but the resulting weapon may be weaker). Note: There are in fact multiple types of Orihalcon ore in the game. They range in strength (all attack figures come from a one handed Halcsword) from an attack power of 28 or 35, up to 75. Which one you are likely to obtain depends on your character's luck level and possibly the difficulty level of the game. Also having a pet Polter Box (a poltergeist class monster whose synch ability makes enemies drop rare items more often) in your party could be helpful.
Five Gold Coins from each of the eight Elemental Spirits (Wisp, Shade, Jinn, etc.).
Five Bottles of Dragon Blood.
Five Bottles of Holy Water.
One Vial of Dragon Breath.

Note: The instructions below will assume that a one handed Orihalcon sword is to be forged and tempered.

Forge your Orihalcon into the HalcSword with attack power 75.
Go to the "Temper a Weapon" option.
Begin by tempering your weapon with the Elemental Spirit Gold Coins. The order you temper your weapon with them is particularly important. If done properly, six of your elemental essence markers will be active. If done in an incorrect order only four will be active.
Apply the Shade Elemental Spirit Coins first. Temper the sword with all five coins or until three Shade Elemental Cards (Mystic Powers on the weapons status screen) appear and have been applied to your weapon. This will raise your attack power by roughly 10 points, raise the sword's Shade Essence Level to 4 and give it the Shade Elemental Essence Marker.
Now that you have finished with Shade, apply the rest of the coins the same way in theis order: Salamander, Jinn, Dryad, Wisp, Aura, Gnome, and Undine. When you have done this the sword will have roughly 140 attack power.
Note: If you want to try changing Plunge Attacks, now is the time to do it. If you try it later it will negatively effect your attack power and waste your materials.
Next, temper the sword with the five bottles of Dragons Blood or until three God of War Cards have appeared. This will raise your swords bonus stats slightly and raise attack power.
Then, temper your sword with the five bottles of Holy Water or until three Cleric Cards have appeared. The first Cleric Card will lower your attack power slightly. Ignore that because the second will raise that attack power moderately and the third card will boost it greatly, so that the swords attack power is around 225.
Finally, to get your sword's attack power up to 245, temper it once with a Vial of Dragon Breath.

General forging and tempering tips
Mystic Power Cards seem to work best in threes. For example, where one Cleric Card would have a slightly negative effect on attack power, three greatly raise it. The God of War Card only gives a slight boost in raw power if one is used. If three are used it is raised by 10 (the God of War Card works well on all types of Orihalcon Armor).

Plunge Attacks on your weapon can be altered. For instance, the Sun Crystal's Card, Sun God (you may need three applications of this card in a row) will change one of your plunge attacks (on the one handed Orihalcon sword) to Sunlight, which will still only do medium damage but will also be effective against the undead. Some items will change the amount of damage (from medium to large, etc). Save before you experiment you may get results you do not like, and will want to load that saved data.

Gold Seed Artifact
You have to get roughly sixty fruits from Trent (the big tree at your house where you plant seeds). Trent will give you the Gold Seed artifact This artifact gives you land an Orchard.

Free Candies during battle
While in a battle you can make Candies appear just by hitting the enemy. To achieve this you will need two good "normal abilities," such as Flip-Kick and Moonsault. Start off by using a Quick Attack and follow it up by using Flip-Kick. You should be followed by blue shadows of yourself. This means you are linking your moves together. Keep using Flip-Kick until you are out of range. Then, use a Moonsault slash (
Moonsault + Square) to back towards the enemy. After two to five successful Flip-Kicks/Moonsault slashes, your character will pause and a Candy will now appear. This is a great trick to use during No Future Mode, when you have basic weapons and armor, as it will keep you alive longer. Just make sure that the blue shadows keep following you and you will get a Candy.

Forging a strong attack weapon
First, forge a weapon out of any (good) material. For example, make a spear out of LorimarIron. Next, make sure you have no less than 3 silver coins of each element. You will also need 42 Glow Crystals and 16 Chaos Crystals. You can find the Crystals at the SS Buccaneer from the Poulter Boxes. It also helps to have a Poulter Box with you as a pet. You can sell the Sun/Moon Crystals you find to purchase the Glow/Chaos Crystals you cannot find. For each element, use the order below in tempering your weapon.

Then, add the last 2 Glow Crystals when you finish with the last element. In the example, it resulted in a LorimarIron Spear that had 195 Attack power.

Learn how good your monster is
To find out if your pet is good or not (in attacks, defense, offense, rarity, etc.), just go to sell the monster and look at the price. If the monster is good, it can be sold at prices above 300 Lucre. If it is not that good, it will cost less. It will then be your choice to keep it or not. You can also earn a lot of money this way.
Note: This cannot be done with eggs.

Demi-Human pets
You cannot locate Demi-Human eggs. They do not exist. You may come across a Demi-Human creature who offers to join you. Accepting the offer is the only way to get an Demi-Human creature for a pet. Once enlisted, these can be treated like any other pet, and they take up one of your five pet slots. They will not join you if you already have a pet or Golem in your party. You can encounter a Chobin Hood in one of the random pathways in the Jungle, a Mad Mallard near where you battle the Axebeaks in Duma Desert, and a Tomato Man at the entrance of Norn Peaks.

Quick growing tech
Walking about on the world map greatly raises the speed that your Orchard and Trent will grow. Simply walk from one end of the world map and back a few times.

Best weapons and armor without tempering
Go to Mekiv Caverns and move to the room with the egg (oddity). Go in and out when there is nothing in the room. Stay and battle the Land Dragon when it appears constantly. It will eventually drop Dragon Scales. Make a weapon or armor with it. It is possible to obtain a knife with a power of 89.

Polter Box quick items
Standing near your Polter Box produces an "electric" bolt that appears connected to you and your box's crystal. This shares the special abilities of you and your box. You will gain the rare item finding ability, as long as that bolt is active.
Note: you will not obtain experience when doing this.

Easy finding ability for monsters
To get the finding ability of your monsters to 99 swiftly, feed the following to them in this order: Gold Clover, Pine O' Clock, Gold Clover. You can get 4 points on every level, and max out before level 36.
