Super start
Hold X
directly after the announcer says "one" at the start of
the race. In roughly three seconds a voice should say "Super
Start". This will allow you to go faster from the start and
usually takes you to roughly 13th place right away.
Super boost
Press R1
to use a boost while going through buoy in any level. It will make
your boat go very fast. A explosion-like sound will verify that the
trick worked.
Lost Island:
Boosts
After the first shortcut is a bunch of grass. On the left side,
jump instantly before the tunnel. This will take you to four boosts
(two blues and two reds).
Lost Island:
Shortcut
Go through the waterfall at the start of the level. You will
obtain a red and blue boost, fall out a small fall, and right away
find a small village. At the end of the village, before the slight
turn, go towards the left side. You will come across a cave. Go
through it and acquire the red boost, then a blue. You will exit the
cave and be above the track. You will get another blue boost and a
last red boost.
Nile Adventure:
Complete the level
These steps will help you finish Nile Adventure, the hardest
level in the game in the only way possible. Go into the room where
you can use the "Mega Hydro Jump" trick and obtain all the
boosts. There are about four or, so including a 9 second boost. Some
of the boosts are hidden, and require some practice. Suggested boats
for this track are The Chumdinger, and the boat with the Fisherman,
the Dog, and the huge booster. Use every shortcut, jump up onto the
top of the track at the stat of the race, and the near the end,
break through the sarcophagus.
Hydro Jump
Make sure you
have boost, then hold X
+ R1,
release X,
and press Square
while keeping hold of R1.
If done properly your boat will fly into the air.
Mega Hydro Jump
You must have plenty of boost. Press R1
+ X
+ Square,
release X
and you will preform the Hydro Jump. Keep doing this and you will be
bouncing, or skipping through the water. This is really useful in
the Nile Adventure track when in the room with the floating 9 second
boost.
Venice Canals:
Complete the level
These steps will help you finish Venice Canals, the hardest
level (next to Nile Adventure) in the game in the only way possible.
First, you must acquire a large amount of boost. A swift boat like
the RaD HaZarD is suggested, if your good at turning. You must use
your hydro jump to jump onto and over grass. This will get you in
front of a few racers. Then, you will reach a room with swinging
chandeliers You have to hydro jump at just the right moment on the
second chandeliers (there are a total of three). You will get a 9
second boost. Use it intelligently to win and finish the level.
Venice Canals:
Secrets
A house will appear when you are going down the straightway
before the sharp turn (where there is a bridge). Preform a Hydro
Jump, and if you are in eighth place or less, you will end up in
first place for the time being.
There is a bridge
after you see the red boost in the hole that is up high. If you go
to the extreme right, you will go under the bridge and see a bonus.
If done properly the announcer will say that you have located a
secret.

This is a list of the best boats to use on the easy and medium
tracks.
Thunder Park track:
Damn the Torpedoes
Lost Island track: Midway
Arctic Circle track: Damn the Torpedoes
Greek Isles track: Midway
Lake Powell track: Thresher
The Far East track: Thresher or Midway
The best boat in the
game besides the bonus boats is the Damn The Torpedoes. It will go
faster and you will pass more people.
New York Disaster:
Shortcut
Near the start is a silver revolving door that seems to be
solid. Go through it and you will locate a blue boost and a red
boost. To obtain the red boost you have to use a Hydro Jump (hold Brake
and use Boost).

At the start of the level is a wide tunnel. While in this tunnel
a checkerboard pattern on the wall will appear. When you see this,
turn towards the left. Use the Hydro Jump to locate a red boost.
