Boost
Just hold Select while your choosing an area selection at the map screen. Now release Select when the auto-pilot engages. Then start a race, and you will be able to use a boost. Note: This can only be done with cars that do not have a turbo.

Stormy weather
First select time attack, free run, or vs. battle mode and choose rain. Then hold R2 while you are selecting the track starting point in order to make it thunder.

Switch engines
Attain over 1242.8 miles (2000 km) on the odometer on a car to access the ability to switch engines on that car. Finish 100% of the game to switch the engine of any car you want.

Foggy weather
Siply select time attack, free run, or vs. battle mode and choose rain. Then hold L2 while you are selecting the track starting point in order to make it foggy.

Snowy weather
Siply select time attack, free run, or vs. battle mode and choose rain. Then hold L1 while you are selecting the track starting point in order to make it snow.

Hints & Tips

Fast start
When your entering a race at any time and the clock is ticking, when it get's to "1" press Select and punch the gas. You will take a fast lead against the other racer in the challenge. Note: Then after the race is done you have to go to the garage to cool the engine down. This extra turbo boost heats the engine quicker so use this trick sparingly.

Turbo boost
At any time your in a race, press Select to get a boost. When you do press Select, to make sure you did boost look at the boost gauge. Under it is a box. Normally when your driving or racing, the box will not flash. But if you press Select in a race, the box will flash and you will go faster. This makes your engine and oil temperature rise fast. When you see that they are going up, press Select again to turn it off. This can help with faster launches, downforce on corners, and passing rivals. By pressing Select just redlines the turbo so that you achieve the maximum from it. If you choose to leave it on for the entire race, notice that you have to go back to the garage afterwards to cool off. It is possible to attain a 101 oil temperature by doing this, which is not smart.
