Movie Theatre After Doc Ock is beaten and the credits finish rolling,
Chapter 16 starts and the Movie Theatre can now be purchased at the
Upgrade Store. The Movie Theatre upgrade costs 1,000 Hero Points.
After you buy it, swing over to the movie theatre and activate
the Change icon to choose from Activision Logo, Treyarch Logo,
the Credits, and 3 demo videos.
The spot of the "Viceroy Cinema 8" movie theater
is marked on the map by an icon of a movie projector. It is in
the southern portion of the main island, in the middle between
Greenwich Village and East Village. The movie theater is northeast
of Mary Jane's apartment in SoHo.
Fight Arena After Doc Ock is beaten and the credits finish rolling,
Chapter 16 starts and the Fight Arena can now be purchased at the
Upgrade Store. The Fight Arena upgrade costs 5,000 Hero Points.
After you buy it, swing over to the Shocker Warehouse near
the Lower East Side. Go into the warehouse through the large bay
doors. Go to the main room where the first battle with Shocker
happened. Access the marker to start the fight. At first, only
"Timed Rounds" is available, but playing it to Round
3 access the Endurance Rounds option. Finishing Round 3 access
the Boss Rounds option. The Boss Rounds includes the various villains
from the game with thugs.
Programmer save When your starting a new game, enter
HCRAYERT as
a name, then return
and type in any name of your choice. The game will start in progress,
with over 40% completion, 201,000 Hero points, with Swing Speed
and Web Zip upgrades, and "Big Game Hunter", "Alien

type in name for the profile and select "Enter" again.
The game will load at the beginning of Chapter 16.
You will need to go to the Spidey Store to buy all the upgrades.
This code has a second effect when used with an existing game.
First load your saved game, select "New Game", then type in
HCRAYERT as a name. The game will not allow you to
type
it in, but when you exit out of that screen, you will receive 201,000
Hero points, all skills cleared, be at the "First Day Of

Hints & Tips
Beating Calypso This is only applies if you have already bought
the Fight Arena and accessed the Boss Battle mode. Calypso is,
perhaps one of the most annoying bosses, and beating her
is like a chore. The best strategy is to chase after
her if you like, but you will find she teleports away soon after
you do hit her, or before the first hit. The trick is to find the
magic staff that is located throughout the arena, and
punch it so that it stops gyrating. Once you see that it is still, race over to Calypso. You will noticed that she is tired
and not moving. Take as many hits on her as you can until she
regains her strength and teleports away.
Beating
Doc Ock When you do fight Doc Oc for the last time, save up your
Spidey Sense energy. When it becomes to full or half-way, let him
get close and active it. This will help you beat him without losing health.
Note: If you can get good
hits on him when three of his four arms are down, you will take little damage if
you are really careful.
To beat Doc Ock on the train, dodge his tentacles then web it.
You only need to be Web 2. Then, keep hitting him until he is free.
If you are low on health, go to the Spidey Store and buy the Full
Health. You should have a alot of Hero Points. You will
not fail the mission and it will be easy to find him once again.
The best way to beat Doc Ock is to swing and use the kicking
ability. If you do not have this ability, you can buy it
at the Spidey Store. This is effective and is safe because
Doc Ock cannot hit you while you are swinging in the air.
When your facing Doc Ock in the last battle, stand your ground in
a corner and let him come near you. When he arrives, beware of
his tentacles. Now dodge them one by one pressing
Circle when
Spider-Man's head flashes, then respond to each dodge by pressing
Triangle and shooting a web at the Doc's tentacles to bind
them to the wall or the ground. When all four tentacles are bound
to either the ground or the wall, run towards the Doc by holding
L1 then pressing
Square,
doing an uppercut
which will send the Doc in the air. Then, hold and release
X
and continue to press
Square
swiftly. When the Doc falls
to the ground, continue to do combos to him by pressing
Square,
but beware of his tentacles. Doc Ock will use them to throw you. Web out of there after one combo and move to another
corner and repeat until the Doc is beaten.
An easy way to beat Doc Ock at either on the train or in his
laboratory is to use your Spider reflexes. By doing this, you
will slow down time and can block his tentacles easier.
When your Hero Meter is empty, swing around the
area doing tricks to get the meter refilled. Then, go after
Doc Ock again.
When your fighting on the train with Doc Ock, go into Spider Sense
mode to make it easier. You only have to face two of his tentacles,
but if he does get you, he will see more.
While your battling Doc Ock on the train, you
have to manage your hits
wisely. When you do attack him, make sure that you do not let him
kill you. Then, when you go to your map you will be able to locate
a Spidey Store. When you are low on health, you can go
there and buy health, no matter where you are on train. Next,
keep hitting Doc Ock until your health is low. Go back to the Spidey
Store and regain health. Repeat this until he is beaten. If
done right, you will then see the part of the movie when Harry
is supposed to kill Spider-Man but is shocked to learn that he
is Peter Parker. When your battling Doc Ock, always try to use your
Spidey Senses.
First activate Spider Reflexes and dodge his tentacle(s).
Then uppercut him and just keep hitting until he gets up. Repeat this
until he has been beaten.
Use this trick to beat Doc Ock easily in the
final level.
In the beginning, stay and wait for Doc Ock to attack you. When
he gets close, press
L1 for make slow motion. When your
head starts to flash, press
Circle then
Triangle. This will
web one of the legs to the ground. Do this until all four legs
are tied, then go up to him press
X to
preform a little hop
then punch him while your airborne. This does a lot more damage. After
you attack him for awhile, he gets loose. Then move away
and wait. Ignore everything else other than Spider-Man's head.
The moment it flashes, press
Circle then
Triangle.
Do this for all four legs then attack him once again. Your slow motion will be
full again, and you can use it to repeat this method until
he is beaten.
The easiest way to beat Doc Ock is by dodging and attacking.
If you desire a challenge and are an expert, try it. The timing
may take some time to master. You must press
Circle
to dodge then press
Triangle to
dodge web his tentacles.
Note:
His arms will break free of the webbing after some time so you must do this
fast.
When your facing Doc Ock for the last time, go near him or go somewhere
else and allow him to come near you. Activate your Spidey
Reflexes. Dodge his tentacles. In Spidey Reflexes mode, you can
see attacks coming from a ways. Dodge his tentacles, and
rapidly press
Square. When you see that he is getting ready
to grab you for the last time, swing away fast. Then, come
back and do the same thing again until he is dead.
Beating Mysterio at the Speedy Mart When you are fighting Mysterio at the Speedy Mart,
the battle is short. Just punch him a few times to beat
him and prepare yourself to reveal Mysterio's true identity.
Just punch Mysterio two or three times. He will fall over, and his
helmet will be smashed, showing his true identity.
When your fighting Mysterio at the Speedy Mart, execute a Sprinting
Uppercut (L2 +
Square). This will knock off his
head piece to show you who he really is.
To beat Mysterio at the Speedy Mart, just hit him one
time.
Beating Mysterio at the Statue Of Liberty First, charge up your jump meter and swing from one
alien ship to another until you reach the main base with the
Orbs. From there, swing from the poles connected to the Orbs.
Target the Orbs then charge up your Jump meter and speed up your
Swing Speed with L1 to
be close to or under the Orb. Then,
attack it and redo for the rest of the Orbs. When you destroy all of the Orbs, swing onto the center platform and use
Spider Reflex. The fan is slowed, but Spider Reflex slows
it down more. From here, jump up and hit the plant-looking
thing. You may need to destroy the Orbs again if you do not beat
Mysterio quick enough.
Easier Completion of timed missions Buy the level 8 upgrade to your Swing Speed before doing the Pizza
Deliveries, Mary Jane, and Daily Bugle Photo missions. The first few missions
are easy, but they will become harder as you will have to go farther with less
time. Having your Swing Speed fully upgraded to level 8 will make them easier,
although the last missions will be a challenge.
Beating Beck When you begin the fight with Beck in
the arena, the first task is easy. You must find criminals
when they appear. To gather criminals, press Triangle,
then Circle. You will grab hold of him. They are three
red stations, and one of them will be green. Put the criminals
in the green station. Remember that you will have just
a tiny amount of time to put the criminals in the round-up station.
When that occurs, the green station will turn into a red
station. Keep doing this in order to pass this round
in the fighting arena. After you finish the criminal round-up
challenge, you will move on to Beck's obstacle challenge. When
you first start, run to the end of the hall, and on a platform
with a wall. Press the button and it will go up. Remember, Beck
can shoot you in any place. The same is also true
even when you are on the ceiling. There are a few spots that he
can shoot at.
Climb up on a wall enough to web them up. Then press
Triangle
to web them up. Press
Left Analog-stick
Up to sling them
up there, and press
Square
continually until the thug is
beaten.
Beating green robots When you get to Chapter 15, when you battle the green
robots you must beat two or three of them. To beat them easily,
swing back and forth. In time they will kill their teammates.
When there is just one, go down and kill him.
Beating Bosses When your facing the Rhino or other Bosses, press
Up
to make everything slow down but you. This move will also allow
you to punch and hit more effectively.
Beating enemies To beat enemies that block your attacks, have guns,
or dodge your web, use the Web Splash maneuver (L2 +
Triangle).
This will swiftly cover them up with webbing and will make them
easier to beat.
To beat enemies easily, just throw them off a high building.
Also use an easy combo such as
L1 +
Square, then Charge
Jump and press
Square
constantly, or just use
L1
+
Square
repeatedly.
Note:
You have to purchase the level 3 and level 4 Air Combo attack. When your
fighting an opponent, first Web Splash them (L2,
Triangle) then go up to them and press
Square,
X,
Square(6x's).
Following Black Cat In this missions where you have to follow Black Cat,
try not to swing from building to building because you will not
be too accurate and fall behind. Instead, try flinging
yourself from building to building. To do this, hold the
X and when it is charged, also hold
L2.
Then while still holding L2 +
X, run to the edge of the
building and let X go, but continue to hold
L2.
This will fling Spider-Man farther than just jumping, and is a lot
more accurate than swinging. Also, if you are just about to land
on a building, but are a bit short of making it to the top,
try using the zip line (L2,
R2) when you can still see
the top of the building. Note:
You have to buy the zip line first. It should attach to the top and zip you
over.
Beating Rhino When Rhino tries to hit you, there will be a flash
above Spider-Man's head. Press Circle when this
occurs.
When Rhino stops spinning, he will be dizzy. Punch him until he does
recover, then he will charge at you. Jump over him. Do not punch
or web him. If you do web him you will be hurt. If you punch him
it will not have any affect because there is metal around his
body.
When your fighting Rhino, a flash appears above Spider-Man's head.
Now dodge his attacks and when he is dizzy, turn on the spider senses
and hit him. When he recovers, dodge his attacks and repeat the
method.
After you beat Rhino, you can jump up and attack him to hear him
say "That's not fair!!," along with a few extra remarks.
Beating Shocker To beat Shocker the second time that you fight him,
climb up the wall straight across from Black Cat and press the
switch. The force field will deactivate. Then, charge towards
Shocker. Stay away from the center, as Shocker will remain on the
sides. Uppercut him into the air. Jump up and do an air combo.
He will fall down. Charge him again and do the same thing. This
time he will start to charge for a blast. Now run away and do charged
jump as far from him as you can. The force field will turn on
again. Redo the method from beginning. When Shocker loses
about half of his life, Black Cat will shut down the force field
for good.
Beating armored power suits If you beat the power suits the first time sometimes
people will tell you that they are attacking random people. If
there are two or more, do not worry. First, attack the one that
is in the way of another power suit's fire. If your health is
low, at least one purple crime is going on go to it and beat it.
If it is a mugging, gang war, etc., wrap up everybody in webbing.
Grab one person and swing to a tall building. It does not have
to be that tall. Swing, turbo, charge jump, and release
X
at the top of the jump. Turn and redo until you reach the top.
Redo and when every opponent are beaten, you will receive Hero
Points and health. Return and fight them by using the same method.
Until there is one left, stay behind him and attack him.
When you beat them all, you will receive 500 Hero Points and health.
To beat the power suits, try to pick off everybody one-by-one.
Start in a "safe" position. Now run
around in your safe position or jump on the ground and try to
get one suit or a human to chase you. Lead them into the alley
in-between the warehouse and the wall. If you are picking off
a human, use your impact webbing (hold
L1 press
Triangle)
then grapple him (Triangle +
Circle). Once you are
holding him, jump back into your safe position and beat him.
Repeat this. It is suggested that you pick off the humans first
because they are quicker and easier to take care of. For power
suits, try to get them stuck in the alley and destroy them before
another suit can rescue them.
If you find yourself low in health when your fighting the power suits,
find a quick thug fight or store to charge up your health. Also,
if you lead them right, they will destroy each other until
there is only one left. Then lock on, and stay behind them.
Jump near an armored power suit and pressing
Square,
X.
Spider-Man will kick off the power suit. You might be hit once
or twice, but it works. Keep on moving and do not stand still.
Get to a good distance between them. Align them so there is one
in front. Let them shoot at you while your pressing
Dodge.
The two in front will be shot, and will be beaten
by the first one. When there is only one left, get behind
him and hit him. Stay behind him as he moves and turns around.
Continue this until you beat him.
Beating blocking thugs The best way to beat blocking thugs is to buy the
Whirlwind Kick. This will hurt several thugs plus the one you
are already fighting. It covers plentyof distance and is strong.
Beck's obstacle course After you finish Beck's criminal round up, you will
move on to the obstacle course. Remember that Beck can hit
you wherever you are. Even on the ceiling there are a few spots he can
get a shot at you.
Beating the art gallery thieves When you face the art gallery thieves again in the
alley, the moment you are there, Black Cat will go into a fighting
pose. Jump down into the alley. When they see you, crawl back up the wall onto the building's rooftop. If you wait
twenty minutes, Black Cat should have beaten all of them, without you taking one beating.
Saving the reporters from Mysterio When you start this level, you are on the top of the
Daily Bugle. Charge your jump and sprint towards the destination
marker and begin swinging. When Spider-Man says "The conference
is starting, I'm going to be late", you should be close to a
black building with green lights behind it. The green lights are
the conference hall. Now sprint through the center of this building
and start swinging to the right. The entrance is on the right
hand side. Sprint into the building and straight to the stairs.
Sprint up the right-hand side to the top floor and in the second
door on your left. Note: Jumping up floors saves a few seconds,
but do not wait to charge your jump. When you go in the room,
there will be an intermission sequence of Spiderman meeting Mysterio,
and two reporters hanging from the balconies. Save the one on
the right first, since he is closest to falling. When you pull
him to you by pressing Triangle, charge your jump and sprint
towards the balcony that you came in on. When you reach the edge
of the balcony, release Jump. The jump alone will not get
you there. When you start to fall, cast a web and swing onto the
balcony. Then press Triangle to put the reporter down. Redo
this for the reporter on the left. When you have safely rescued
the two falling reporters, return to the balcony on the right.
There should be another reporter on that balcony. Repeat the steps
for saving the falling reporters. Then swing down to the stage and
fight off a few of Mysterio's alien flyers Note:
Your web attacks will not have an effect on the flyers, but your normal attacks
will. Grab one of the reporters and charge a jump. When your jump is charged,
jump straight up. When at your full height, cast a web and wait for it to stop
swinging. Redo this until at maximum height. Start swinging towards one of the
two balconies that the reporters were on. If you are not high enough, charge a
jump and let go. Repeat this for the other two reporters, then finish off the
flyers. An intermission sequence will start, and you will have finished the
level.
Saving Aunt May from Doc Ock First, fail this mission by losing Ock. Then when you
restart the mission beside the helicopter, Web Swing and try
to attach a Web Swing to the helicopter.
It is easier to web swing to the helicopter, or make your
web attach to the chopper. All you have to do is dodge the buildings.
It is also possible to attach your web to other choppers that are
just flying around in the city.
Crossing the Brooklyn Bridge To get across the Brooklyn Bridge, swing under it,
if you have not beaten Shocker for the last time.
Reaching Liberty and Ellis Islands The only way to reach Liberty Island and/or Ellis
Island is to hitch a ride on the patrolling helicopters that surround
the islands. To do this, stand on the edge of the Manhattan island
where you can see the Statue Of Liberty and the other island. Then, look up and watch for helicopters. They are easier to spot in the daylight hours, and may only appear
at
this time. Then, charge-jump and web-sling to attach to one. Wait
for it to near the island and/or the other helicopter.
You will know when to make the jump for the islands.
When you have to get to Liberty Island, keeping swinging to the island
until you see eight little red dots. Then, drop into the water
and you will float over to the island.
To reach the Statue Of Liberty from Quentin Becks, first jump
hard then keep web swinging from the UFO. While your doing that, keep
jumping and getting boost by pressing
L2 at the bottom
of a swing. Keep on doing this, even when your falling.
Destroying Orbs at the Statue Of Liberty First, attach to one of Mysterio's "UFOs"
and it will fly you up high. Jump off and Websling around until
you are close enough to an Orb to Webzip toward it. Once your there,
you will stay floating. Use a simple punch attack to destroy
it.
First Encounter: Saving Doc Ock First, wait until the field goes inward then attack
the computer. Get back to dodge the field coming towards
you. Do not forget to use your Spider Sense to avoid the bolts.
Then, charge your jump until it is full, sprint with L1,
and jump through the opening to the other computer and
destroy it. Then, watch for the new pattern in the movement of
the field. When the field is going inward, Charge Jump through
the opening again. Redo this until you destroy
all of the computers.
At the start of this level, destroy the first computer. Then, look
to the left or right. Wait until the plasma blast lowers, then
turn on the Spider Reflex modes and dive forward
into the corner, but not all the way. Once there, destroy the
computer, then redo.
Mysterio's Apartment: Exiting Wall Of Mirrors Go up to a mirror and punch it three times as the clone
is coming out. Then, beat the clone up. By using a Web Ball (L2
+ Triangle) works well. Be careful to only approach
one mirror at a time, as the Spider-Man clones that appear are
hard to beat if there are too many. Redo this until
you find the door that you can use to exit.
Approach a mirror and break the glass as the twisted reflection
comes out. Keep breaking mirrors until you see a beam come
from the broken mirror to the ceiling. Once you locate a beam, break
every third mirror to find every beam. When all beams are showing,
the exit will be shown.
When your in the fun house on Mysterio's level, at the mirrors walk
around the room until you get four clones out. No more can
now appear. Run around and break every mirror. Then, beat
the four clones.
A very simple way to find an exit is to skip busting up
every mirror,
and instead wait until you find one that emits a ray of energy
into the center of the room. Once you have found this one, skip
every other two and break the third one from it. This way, you
will fight less clones and find the door quicker.
While your in the third stage of the second meeting of Mysterio, you will
find yourself in a room full of mirrors. Swiftly punch the mirrors
as soon as you can. If you are not quick enough, clones of yourself
will come out of the mirrors. It may help if the "Super Punch"
has been accessed, which will break the mirrors on the first hit.
You can also press Up to slow down the game. The eyeball
on the floor moves around, which can only be attacked by your
Spidey clones when the eyeball is under you move as fast as
you can.
Ignore every mirror Spideys. Now go around the room and break
every mirror as fast as you can. As you break the mirrors,
the spider from that mirror will die.
Arcade mini-games There are four mini-games at the Arcade: Dodge Hall,
Directional Attack, Web Attack, Air Combo. Go into the Arcade, then
go to the back of the room. Now press Square to activate the
marker to start the Dodge Hall mini-game. Finish round 3 to
access the Directional Attack mini-game.
In the Directional Attack mini-game, follow it as instructed to
access the Web Attack mini-game. This is also basically just a
tutorial. In the Web Attack mini-game, follow it as instructed
to access the Air Combo mini-game.
Reaching the arcade Make your way to Han's Pizzeria. Stand facing the front door and the neon
sign. Turn to your left and go down the street beyond the blue star icon for
Race 95 and continue past the first intersection. Go to the second intersection
at the end of the grassy area. Remain on the side with the grassy area, and turn
left. Now go down the sidewalk with the grassy area on your left until you come
to the T-shaped intersection. Cross the street and continue going straight, past
the white/gray awnings. On your left side is an alley. In that alley is a
storefront with green-trimmed windows. Enter this alley and you will come to the
entrance to the Arcade. Above the Arcade door is a sign depicting an old
Atari-style controller.
Note:
The Arcade is a spot used at the beginning of the game during the tutorial
narrated by Bruce Campbell.
Peter Parker's apartment If you are searching for Peter's apartment, start at
M.J.'s place in Soho and go down until you are in Greenwich Village.
Take a left and go down until you come to a park. Keep going straight
down until you reach a building. Climb it and come back down
on the other side. Once your there, look on the mini-map on the bottom
right corner and search for a shining white rectangle. Go up and
down the street until it appears. You will see three
balconies in two rows. In the first row, in the center one is
Peter Parker's apartment.
Getting upgrades When you are in need of more moves, fly around the
city and look for buildings with a web-like top on them. At times
the buildings will be small and are white, which may make
the web almost invisible. There are also different color webs,
which will make the web more visible on your map in the lower
right side of the screen. Inside of one of those stores, you will
see a gold spinning decal which you should "open up".
This will bring you to the upgrade screen, where you can spend
your Hero Points to get other attacks and more.
Easy Hero Points While your in the street crime mission where you must fight off
thugs stealing money from the armored van, untie the officers
that are kneeling next to the van by using Action. You
will earn an extra 50 Hero Points for each officer you do untie.
However, make sure you untie them before you get too far away
and the game removes them.
Get to Mary Jane's apartment and select. She
will give you a message. Reach the place that Mary Jane tells you to go within
the posted time limit. You normally will get 1,000 or more Hero Points each
time. Her apartment is in SoHo. Just use the map to find it. You can keep doing
this continually.
Get to the place were you can deliver pizza,
or if you have finished the game, go to the Spidey Store and buy the Fighting
Arena for 500 Hero Points. Now go to the arena and you will be able to win
plenty of hero points.
Normally when you finish the missions where
you stop thugs from holding up an armored car, everything adds up to roughly 100
to 200 points. To receive more, knock out every thugs first. The screen will
show how many points you have gotten. Once you collect the health, untie the
police officers. Each officer is worth 50 points each. If you do this, you would
receive 100 points more than what you would have normally gotten.
Fill Style meter faster By using the "Spider Reflexes" ability drains
your Style meter. You can refill the Style meter by doing the Air Tricks combos,
but they will only add a bit to the blue bar each time. To fill the Style meter
quicker, avoid hitting buildings while you are swinging around and doing the Air
Tricks. The more Air Tricks you string together without bumping into buildings,
the quicker your meter will be refilled. When you bump into a building while
swinging, it will stop the Style meter from being refilled and you have to start
another string of Air Tricks. If you are going too fast and cannot prevent
yourself from slamming into a building, try going into a Wall Sprint just as you
make contact with the wall, then leap off the wall into a swing. If done right,
you will not break your Air Tricks combo.
At any point in the game, if your Style meter is low, press
Select to check your map.
Locate the tallest building on
the island, or the tallest building nearest you. Climb up, jump off, and at the
last moment,swing.
Note:
If you are jumping from one of the taller buildings and you do not swing, you
will be dead. Also, if you want a nice ride, find the tallest building, climb to
the top, charge your jump, sprint of the top, and jump at the last second. If
done right, you will get a longer jump.
By dodging rapid shots like those from Doc Ock or the armored
