Beginner fighting difficulty setting Die twice on porpuse while playing within the normal fighting difficulty
setting. The fighting difficulty setting can be set to "Beginner" in the extra
options menu.

highlight the "Extra New Game" option when your at the main menu and press
Up(2x's),

X. Then Heather will sigh after you
select a
difficulty and riddle level to verify entry. In a few scenes when

Alessa costume Finish all ten extreme levels completely.
Life display option Finish the game completely within the hard difficulty setting to access
"Life Display" at the extra options screen.
Bonus costumes
In order to use the bonus costumes, you need to first finish the game once
and access the "Extra Costume" option. Type in one of the case-sensitive passwords
below and you will be asked for that costume.
Once yyped in, you can then equip them while playing.

The case-sensitive passwords listed below are for the locked doors
that are at the official Japanese site for Silent Hill 3.
Extra interactive scenes To receive extra scenes while your playing, use a memory
card with at least a finished saved game file from Silent
Hill 2. The new interactions with a few objects and new scenes
will now be accessible. These scenes are similar or with a few type
of reference to the earlier game.
After you finish Silent Hill 2, use the memory card
while your playing Silent Hill 3 to receive flashbacks. Here are the flashback
locations:
When you inspect the second stall in the 1F ladies room in the
mall.
When you inspect the mail boxes across from Daisy Villa Apartments.
When you inspect the poster at Haven's Night.
When you inspect the section of fence on the north side
of the Brookhaven Hospital's Roof Area.
Death scenes There are several areas in the game where special
death scenes happen for your character if you trigger them.
At the last area, after Claudia kills Vincent and the
trade
between Heather and Claudia ensues, equip a weapon and attack
Claudia with it. Heather will then start to bleed out and birth
the "God". This is not an ending, as it counts
like a "Game Over", but is a ugly ending.
While your in the subway, hop down onto the tracks and run
to the way to the end of them, into the tunnel. Heather will be run over by the
train.
When your on the train, simply turn around and
leave through the door
in the rear of any car. Heather will be on the end of the
train. If you move forward close to the edge, a first-person cut
scene will happen in which Heather falls from the train onto the
tracks, and is killed.
There are other death scenes placed in specific areas
in
the game. Search for areas that seem meaningful and let yourself to be killed.
Advancing to Extreme X easily Beating the last Boss on Extreme X is a pain.
However, there is way to beat him. Do the Revenge ending
constantly and you are on your way to Level X. The only Boss monster
that you should come across is the worm that looks like a mutated
Johnson on Sundays. Be cautious, your only weapon in this quest
is the slow, some what strong Sexy Beam. Now become familiar with using
the Sexy Beam, use the True Heather Beam (R2 +
X)
on dogs and flying monsters, and use the Heather Ray (R2
+
X(2x's) or
Forward +
R2 +
X) on the
monsters and the squirming ones. Just remember you can
recover your stamina by exiting and going back into a room. Stamina
is a needed item in this quest.
UFO ending Finish game and access the Princess Heart costume and the Heather Beam
weapon. The Heather Beam is a special weapon which you can only use if Heather
or Cheryl is not holding a weapon. Beat every monster and Boss using just the
Heather Beam.
Note:
The "Monster defeated" counter should read 0 kills.
Possessed ending Kill every monster with any weapon but melee ones,
using the unlimited sub machine gun.
Unlock up to ten Extreme Action Mode games Complete the game in hard action mode to access Extreme Action Mode.
Complete Extreme Action Mode 1 to access Mode 2, etc. Keep on doing this until
you access the last one, Extreme Action Mode X. If you finish this last mode you
will be rewarded with the God Of Thunder T-shirt.
Bookstore: Puzzle When your putting the books out of order, the solution is
4 5 2 3 1, within the normal action and normal riddle difficulty
settings.

Brookhaven Hospital: Crematory puzzle The solution within the hard riddle difficulty setting
is 9 2 7 1.

Brookhaven Hospital: Suitcase on bed password Look at the clock near the bed. The time is the password.
For example, if the clock shows the 5h:6m, you would put in 0 5
0 6. The solution is 0 7 1 9, within the normal action and normal
riddle difficulty settings.
Note:
The clock needs to be read in military time. For example, if the alarm clock
reads as 2:14 then it should be put in as 14:14 on the suitcase.
Brookhaven Hospital: Second lobby door password This password is an easy math problem. The first digit
is higher than the second digit. The second digit is the third
digit multiplied by two. The third digit is half of the first
digit. The solution is 8 6 3 4, within the normal action and normal
riddle difficulty settings.

Brookhaven Hospital: Third lobby door password For this, reach floor B, then onto the storeroom. Get
to the end of the room and take a photo of the bloody wall with
a shelf close it. The solution is 4 7 5 6, within the normal action
and normal riddle difficulty settings.
The solution within the hard difficulty setting is 1 3 2 8.
Brookhaven Hospital: 33rd floor lock password The solution to the puzzle is in relation to a
few bird . The
order is Wren, Owl, Linnet, Sparrow. The solution is 9 2 7 1 within
the hard riddle difficulty setting.
Brookhaven Hospital: Bloody mode 33rd floor lock password After hospital switches to bloody mode, you can
reach
the 33rd floor. At the top of the room is a stony picture on the
wall. This picture shows you the order of the digits. Here is an example:
I is number of this bed is digit 1
II is number of this bed is digit 2
III is number of this bed is digit 3
IV is number of This bed is digit 4
Where the digits are meaning the number of beds that you see
bloody. The solution is 8 2 3 7, within the normal action and normal
riddle difficulty settings.
Brookhaven Hospital: Hidden ammunition For sub machine gun ammunition, reach the hospital
roof.
Order of tarot cards at the last door of the game Arrange the cards as listed below in the normal action and
normal riddle difficulty settings:
Northwest position: Eye Of The Night
Northeast position: Moon
West position: High Priestess
East position: Fool
South position: Hanged Man
Arrange the cards as listed below in the hard difficulty setting.
Northwest position: The High Priestess
North position: The Eye Of The Night
Center position: The Fool
East position: The Moon
Southwest position: The Hanged Man
The riddle is a problem that has Roman numerals. The Priestess is
number II as read on the book about tarots. The Eye Of The
Night is XXII. The Fool is 0. The Moon is XVIII. The
Hanged Man is XII. Look in the book of drawings to see that
XVIII can remain only in the east position. XII is only in the southwest position, II is only
in the northwest position, 0 and XXII have two places where they
can remain. Swap them until you find their right place.
Subway: Vengeful ghost When you first reach the subway station,
search for a cluster of vending machines for coins and tickets. On top of one of
those machines is a newspaper telling of a man who was killed, apparently by
accident, by a train. Futher on, you start to descend levels, you will come
across a stairwell that has an occult magazine lying on the ground. Read it, and
it will tell you how the ghosts of those who commit suicide or those who died by
accident often come back to haunt the places of their death, and will either
come to people for help or take revenge. If you read both of these
articles and go down the steps, Heather will walk down to the subway track, and
a intermission sequence will start which has a ghost push Heather onto the
train tracks. You need to turn around and climb back up, or you will be
killed by an oncoming train. Note:
That this happened in the Extra New Game mode, and may not occur the first time
through on Normal Game mode.
Heather Beam Just kill 333 enemies. Then play through the
game many times will accomplish this.
Note:
Wear the Transform costume to change the Heather Beam into the Sexy Beam.
Beating
the last Boss with less ammunition First equip the handgun and fire two shots.
Note: Just one should
be fine, but fire two just to be safe. Then after Claudia bends over,
equip the Maul and execute the overhead attack by pressing
X hard as you can. Since you will be
invincible when Heather swings the Maul, Claudia will not hit you with her
Retaliation smack. Note:
The swing is slow, Claudia will wait for it.
Weapons You can find a shotgun in the subway and a machine
gun in the hospital. One of the best weapon for
final battle is the katana.
Special weapon locations Once you the Special weapons listed below
available they
can be found at their listed places:
Beam Saber: At the end of the hallway where you
obtain the bookstore
key; hanging on the door.
Flamethrower-In Helen's Bakery;
On the
counter.
Infinite Ammo Sub Machine Gun:
Right after exiting out of
the bathroom window going left it
is at the dead end.
Heather Beam: After getting it, you always have it. You can
use it when no weapon is equipped.
Life Bar Finish the game within the hard action and hard riddle difficulty settings
to access the "Life Bar" option at the extra options screen.
Never get tired By equipping the Princess Heart or Transform
costume it will make Heather run long distances without becoming tired. This is
also really useful for the Heather Beam weapon, since it depends on how tired
Heather may become.
Heather looking dead By euipping the God Of Thunder costume will allow
Heather or Cheryl to look like one of the evil Heathers in the Amusement Park.
When you reachthe scene where Heather will "eat" her pendant, you will see
a kind of lettering on her fingers.
Boost bullet adjust and bonus weapons faster When you reach the church and are ready to solve the
children's room riddle, save the game prior before
you do so. Then, finish the game, beat the Boss and reach
the results screen. When you are done viewing your ranking, press
X to see what bonus you were awarded. If you killed
a few more
enemies with a melee weapon, you will receive a Beam Saber. If you
shot more enemies, you will get an infinite flamethrower. Now save
the game in a new file do not overwrite your existing game
file. Go back to the main title screen and select the "Load"
option. Then load the saved game made before you killed the Boss.
Then kill the boss again and bypass the credits. When you reach the
results screen for the second time, the game will count you having
finished the game a the second time. This is much quicker
than going through the game several times to get bonus
weapons and raise your bullet adjust. The Bullet adjust allows
you to double the amount of bullets you can get from a single
box, depending on how many times you finished the game. If you
did this trick three times you can triple the amount of bullets
you would get from a single box in a little time.
Silencer After the sewer part, reach the apartment 5F. You will see
a room with a big hole. There is mattress close the hole. To the
right of it is a wall that that has a light blue color area.
Now use a pipe to break the wall and get the silencer.
After you complete the game, go to the fifth floor in the construction
building. Go to the room which has a big hole in the middle. There
should be a wall that is lightly colored. Smash that wall to get
a gun silencer.
Unlock the Flamethrower and the Beam Saber with just one
game played To access these two extra-weapons without having to
play a new game from the beginning, then save your game in the tarot-puzzle
room just prior to the final Boss. When you complete the game, you
will access one of the weapons. Now save
your results. After this, load that earlier saved game and finish
it once again. You will now access the other weapon.
Unlock the Flamethrower, Beam Saber, and Unlimited Sub Machine Gun with just
one game played Complete a game and save it. You should have at least one special weapon
available. Then, load your saved game. Completeing the game the second time with
the same save will have the Flamethrower available. Finish the game the third
time, but kill the final Boss, Claudia, with only melee weapons like the Maul or
the Katana. After that, you will have the Unlimited Sub Machine Gun availablw.
Note:
If you do not possess the Beam Saber, then in the third time through kill the
final Boss, Claudia, using long range weapons like the shotgun or the sub
machine gun.
Heather Beam firing modes There are three ways to fire the Heather Beam. The
Homing Ray is only usable when Heather is not wearing the Princess
Heart costume, and can be executed by holding X. The second
one is The Psycho Ball, which is usable at anytime and can be executed
by pressing X then pressing and holding
X for a second
time. The third one is Heather True-Beam, which is only usable
when Heather is wearing the Princess Heart or Transform costume,
and can be executed by holding X.
Die by getting pulled in water After you are in the sewer, you should come
across a area
with a door that has a warning sign beside it. Now read the diary
on the desk. It will have information telling you that a monster
killed his friends and a little more on how your suppose to kill it. Then save the
game and go across the bridge without getting rid of it. A tentacle will grab your leg and drag you into the water.
Stop intermission sequences from resetting (demo version) Just kep rotating the
Left Analog-stick.
Clean bunnies During the introduction at the Lakeside
Amusement Park, when you look at every bunny costume they are covered in blood.
When you go into the gift shop, you can see that only the pink bunnies are
covered in blood, and the rest are not.
Setting the ammo multiplier You can only set the ammo multiplier after you
finish the game at least one time. Then, press Select to
go into the status menu, and go to the options menu. Now press
R1,
R2,
L1, or
L2 to go into the extra options
menu. You also can now set the ammo multiplier to any value. The ammo
multiplier will set the amount of any ammunition you pick by a
multiplying its current ammo value to the number you have set in the bullet
multiplier extra option.
Ammo multiplier 5X Complete the game one time, then load your saved game. Then finish the game
again nine times using the same saved game. When you start a new game or extra a
new game, go into the extra options menu. You can now set the bullet multiplier
option at 5X. When you select any ammunition, it will be multiplied nine times
more than normal.
Blood color change You can also change the color of the blood that
is in the extra
options menu. You can also set the blood color to green, and when you
get hit or attack a monster it will spill green blood
instead of the normal red.
Getting Gold and Silver Pipes When your in the place where you use the dryer to kill off
a few
tentacles, walk to the water. Just sure you do not fall and press
X. Then answer the questions
right to receive it.
Claudia When the intermission sequence between Claudia and
Vincent is over and Vincent is dead, just use the necklace on Claudia.
