Completion bonuses
Finish the game within normal mode, then play once again from the cleared game file to keep your earned Mantra/Skill, Linkage and Karma Ring from ealier. Note: You are not able to keep those bonuses if your second try is within a different difficulty.

Hard mode
Finish the game in normal mode to have the hard mode difficulty available. Or just load a saved game file from Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner.
