Hints & Tips

24/7 mode
When you happen to play the harder levels in 24/7 mode and the players guard you well, start at the top of the three point line and run to the left to the top left corner of the key. Then, run straight across the freethrow line to the other side of the line. Once your there, run straight down the key line. Once you finish that, you are ready to run to get an easy dunk or lay up.

Classic players
To receive classic players like Magic Johnson, go to "Manage Roster" and trade a player with an All-star team. They can be used for franchise mode.

Getting good players
In a fast game, pick your home team, then start a Virtual Slot Machine. You will receive five random starters. Then, go to "Adjust Lineup" and substitute a player with a 90 or more rating for a player on your bench with a 60 rating. Do this as much as you like.

Alley-oop
Just when your teammate is in position, press Square + X to alley-oop the ball to him.

Easier baskets
Locate a team with a small forward with good mid-range like, the Clippers, Sixers, Kings. Stand at the top of the 3 point line and call the pick and roll. Then when the pick comes, go left and the drive. If it does works, your man will be out from the pick and the small forwards man will step up to you, leaving the small forward open for an easy two, or if they have good, threes you can step outside.
