Hints & Tips

Reach higher locations
When you are in a Solar Surfing level, to get to higher places on the Solar Surfer, When you are at the main menu press Left Analog-stick Down after jumping off any platform or ramp.

Solar Surfing
When you are Solar Surfing, be careful not to go too fast. You could miss a ring on green energy.

Beating John silver
When you are in a John Silver battle, duck to avoid Silver's yellow bullets. Also make sure Jim is not on the Morph Pad.

Supernova: Gold Doubloons
After you have killed the Salamander, use the cannon again to hit the gray barrels to uncover Gold Doubloons.

Items
When you are in Solar Surfing levels, in the Races, go for the Gold first. Attain a fast time without worrying about getting everything because you can always replay the level to get every item. The turbo boosts can help a a lot with your time.

When you are in non-Solar Surfing levels, check walls for hidden areas. Often you will see some damage that may need looking into.

Barrels
In a non-Solar Surfing level, do not destroy every the barrel you come across. Just save a strategic few so that you can retrace your steps when your health is low to collect the energy stored inside them.
