indicators
Hold R1 + Start
after choosing your time limit and
before the character selection screen appears. The message "No
Arrows" will appear in the lower left corner to verify proper entry.
Secret Push Bike
At the character selection
screen hold L1
+ R1. Release L1,
then release R1. Hold L1 + R1 again, then
release them all together. Then, press X. A ringing sound
will verify proper entry, and your character will mount the
bicycle.
Or just
highlight a driver at the character selection screen, then press L1
+ R1, L1 + R1, L1 + R1, then hold
L1 + R1 + Up and select your player.
Or hust finish all sixteen Crazy Box levels to access the
Secret Push Bike for each character. It can be used in Crazy Box,
arcade, or original modes.
To unlock the Push
Bike in Another Day mode, select original mode. Then press R1
+ L1, R1 + L1, R1 + L1, R1,
R1 + X
while at the character selection screen.
Another Day mode
Press R1
while at the character selection screen, then release it. Then, hold R1
and press X. The
message "Another Day" will appear in the lower left corner
to verify proper entry. This mode modifies various positions in the
game.
Alternate display
Start to play in arcade or original mode. Then hold L1
+ R1 and press
Circle on controller two to toggle between first person and
rear views. Then hold L1
+ R1 and press Square
on controller two to view a speedometer. And hold L1
+ R1 and press Triangle
on controller two to zoom out to a pass-by
pan. Hold L1 + R1 and press X on controller two
to reset the display.
Expert mode
At the main menu hold L1 + R1 + Start.
Continue to hold the buttons until the character selection screen
appears, then press X to select the game mode and variation.
The phrase "Expert Mode" will appear in the lower left
corner to verify proper entry. No destination or arrow
indicators will appear in this mode.
Disable
destination indicator
Hold L1 + Start
after choosing your time limit and
before the character selection screen appears. The message "No
Destination Markers" will appear in the lower left corner to
verify proper entry.
Hints & Tips More money
Your passenger will get excited and give you more money when you
pass other drivers on the road.
When taking people on
the freeway, weave in and out of buses, trucks, and cars. Your
passenger will get excited and give you tips. Be careful not to
crash.
Sometimes when you
have a customer, you can go against a wall or a solid straight side
and ram side by side against it. If done properly, you can get a
Crazy Drift combo even if you did not preform one. You can get up to an
8-combo. This works well by KFC with Gus or B.D Joe.
Crazy Stop
Press Reverse +
Brake.
Crazy Drift
Press Left or
Right while shifting into Reverse
then into Drive while driving at a high rate of speed.
Crazy Drift Stop
Do a Crazy Stop directly after a Crazy Drift.
Jump
When driving down a straight road, build speed, then press Drive
+
Brake. Your car will jump up as if has hydraulics.
Flip over trucks
and buses
Proceed to the highway in arcade mode and drive on the high lane.
Then, knock a truck that says "wow" off the high lane onto
the low lane into a truck or bus.
Jack knife trucks
To make 18 wheelers jack knife on the highway, ram them between
the cab and the trailer.
Derail train
When in original mode or arcade mode, proceed to the train station
and wait for a train. When one draws near, drive in front of it. The
front car of the train will move off the tracks and start honking
and try to move. Stay there and ultimately the front car will fly
off the tracks and will remain that way for a little while.
Class S license
Play the game in original mode and work for ten minutes. If you
drive vigilantly and earn $5,000 dollars or more, you will get the
Class S license.
Get to first place
Begin the game with your swiftest character and shift into
reverse gear. Reverse all the way until you get to a passenger. When
you have collected her, stay to the middle of the road (so that you
get more combos for Crazy Through). When you get to the rail car
station at the top of the hill, go anyway you want (preferably
straight down the center). Try to stay to the center of the road. Go
as swift as you can without crashing into any of the other vehicles.
When you get to the bottom of the hill, drop off the passenger.
After that, pick up any Red, Orange or (if desired) the Yellow. This
will allow you to raise your time, passengers, and money.
Crazy Box mode
To finish the 30 times level, drive down the middle of the
road at a relatively slow speed.
Crazy Box: Crazy
Jump
In the Crazy Jump, start off with a Crazy Dash. When you get to
the center of the ramp perform a Crazy Dash again and once again
before leaving the ramp. This result in over three hundred and high
two hundreds.

Pole
In Crazy Pole, do a Crazy Drift to hit the pole. This will allow
you to stop in both destination points of each person.

Parking
In Crazy Box mode finish these levels to receive the
bonus: 1-2, 2-2, and 3-2.
Strange customers
Drive down to the beach and into the water in arcade mode. In
there are about three or four customers that usually want to go to
Pizza Hut. Watch them closely when they hop in and out of the car --
they have unusually big ears.
Find the highway
easily
Follow the big blue bus to get to the highway.
Crazy Pins
Drive slowly down the middle of the lane of pins. At the end,
use a Crazy Dash drive and accelerate.
Crazy Box: Crazy
Through
Do not use the commonly-vaunted method of driving down the
middle of the road. Instead, drive slowly down the middle of the two
lanes of oncoming traffic (i.e., drive along the white dotted
lines). In this position, you will be able to rake up more
then 70 Crazy Through combos. Note:
Beware of the yellow cabs, as they
are the ones that will most likely swerve into you.
Crazy Speed
Press Reverse then press Drive very
swiftly. If done properly, your car will speed off very fast.
Crazy Dash
Press Drive + Accelerate.
Extra time
Select arcade mode and ten minutes for the time limit. Pick up a
customer, then go under the water and remain there for two minutes.
You will get ten extra minutes.
Extra speed
Press R1 + R2
for extra speed on the road.
$99,999
Perform a Crazy Drift, wait until you have spun 180 degrees,
then press Reverse + Drive. You can earn as much as a
450 combo and $99,999.
License system
The licenses on Crazy Taxi are awarded using this system:

Class D License: $1000.00 to $1999.99
Class C License: $2000.00 to $2999.99

Hidden customers
Drive off the freeway (with the high and low lanes) and go past
the police station. Take the first right, then take the first left.
On the next right there is a ramp. Drive up it and to get on the
roof of a building with a customer.
Enable the
"Another day mode" code, then begin the game in original
mode. There is a hidden customer in the water by the pier.
There is a subway
station downtown. Get in by driving down the stairs to find a
customer that wants to be taken to another subway station. Just
follow the railroad to the next station (the destination may vary)
to get some extra cash. Try not to crash, because it will take a lot
of time to get back on your way.
A hidden customer is
near the parking structure. Drive up the ramp and slowly fall off
the end of the structure on the far left side. You will see a green
customer on the roof of the building you just landed on. Pick him
up. He wants to go 2000 yards and will pay $975 to go to the police
