Note: This cheat involves changing a game file. Make a backup copy of the file before going on. Then use a text editor to edit the "zoo.ini" file in the game folder. Scroll to the bottom of the file. The tenth line from the
bottom, should read "MSMaxcash 500000". Change this number to any money value you want. You can only use this trick for freeform mode.
Hints & Tips
Easier money Use high breedability animals, like the warthogs or velociaraptors, and make them as happy as you can. As soon as they give birth to offspring, sell them. This is useful when they start to over crowd your cages, or if your losing money.
Stop guests from shocking themselves and cure crowding It can be a annoyance when the guests leave because they run into one of your electric fences. To stop this at the expense of some money, before you make a fence for a new exhibit, outline the area with a decoration fence. Just make sure it faces outwards, not towards the exhibit. Otherwise, when
you make the fence too close it will build over the decoration fence. When you make the normal fence for the exhibit, face it inwards and they should be in the same spot. Make sure there is a hole in the decorative fence for the entrance to the exhibit. Once this is done, not only will the guests no
longer shock themselves but they also will not be crowding the animals. Note: This will not work from the inside. Even with decorative fences inside, the animals will not only be angry but will still shock themselves by just trampling it.
No rubble or trampled terrain To stop a dinosaur from making rubble, use the rocks that they like as a fence to keep them out of part of the exhibit, then put trees in that part. Also, for Zoo Tycoon animals, block off part of the exhibit then put terrain that can be trampled. In their part of the exhibit, put Dirt, Sand, Brown
or Gray Stone, or Snow. You can also use water as a fence if the animal don't swim.
Apocalypse First corral a group of T-Rexes in a large cage. Make sure they are well nourished. Allosaurs will work as well, and may work better when with T-Rex. Wait until they are grown. By this time you should have a good sized zoo. This will work best on large maps with many statues and objects, and a lot
of customers and staff. If you want to save any one from the apocalypse, make a large electrified exhibit and put the animals you want to save and a couple of commodities like stalls, rest rooms, trash cans, benches, and finish it with some plants and grass. The chosen ones who get to be in the
"anti-apocalypse" cage will be living good, while out side this lush environment is a wasteland full of despair and misery. To even further raise the entertainment value of all this, the Allosaurs and T-Rex will eat the guests and staff.
Scaring guests with dinosaurs If you desire to be mean, then buy two or more big dinosaurs that are the same and place them in an electrified exhibit. First, cover the door with a large rock so that the guests cannot get out. Then, pick up guests one by one and drop them in the exhibit until there are hundreds of them. The best
way of getting the dinosaurs to pursue a guest is to make them angry by placing lots of trees and rocks that they do not like and put shops, paths, and benches in them. Then, put the dinosaurs in a se exhibit and wait for the guests to settle in and buy things. Once they have settled in, put the
dinosaurs back in their original exhibit and watch them run. Also, the blocked door means that they cannot get out. An angry dinosaur chases the guests better.
Easy fence repair Instead of waiting for a maintenance worker, just purchase the same kind of fence and replace the rotting part. If you are low on money, pick up the worker and move him to the fence. There is no guarantee he will work on it they may just walk away.
Use any fence with dinosaurs To use any fence to hold dinosaurs, lower the elevation of the exhibit two to four spaces down and surround it with any fence. The dinosaurs will not get out. Lowering it by four spaces is suggested for T-Rex, Allosaurus, and Spinosaurus.
Easy Best Exhibit Design award When you happen to make an exhibit, place three large rocks and put all the foliage in just one corner and a few others scattered through the exhibit but a bit apart. If you clump it all in one corner, once the animals are in the green bar with happiness, with thier foliage
stop. Doing this with two or three exhibits will win you the award easily.
