Just rename one of your guests to one of the names below to activate the desired cheat.

Exhibit cheats
After the game has automatically named an exhibit, rename it to one of the names below to get the mentioned animal or effect.

Fix all broken fences
Simply name a male maintenance worker Bob V.

Remove foliage and $300 tax rebate
Simply name a male maintenance worker George W.

Destroy all buildings
Simply name male maintenance worker The Rock.

Crazy fountain
Go into the menu to buy a fountain. Then right click on the "Elephant Fountain" and press [Shift] + [Ctrl] + [Alt]. Your fountain will spray water all over your guests.

Guide lines on land
Just press [Ctrl] + G.

Set all tour guides salaries to zero
Simply name one of the tour guides Rosalie.

Happy penguins
Achieve a happiness rating above 90 for the penguins and they will do a happy dance.

Happy gorillas
Achieve a happiness above 90 for the lowland gorillas and they will do a happy dance.

Killer bees
Simply put an insect house in a crocodile's exhibit. A swarm of killer bees will attack your guests.

Animals rampage
Put all the animals in the same exhibit then set them free. They will tear down your trees, trample your paths, and lower your buildings to rubble.

Escaping bear
Simply name a bear Deer and it will immediately break out of its exhibit, unless it is surrounded by an electric fence.

White dodo
Simply name a dodo Mr. Dodo to get a white dodo.

Evil penguins
Just put a herbivore with a penguin. After a fight, all penguins will become evil.

Sick guests
On the game date of January 1, more guests will be sick.

Halloween zoo
Set the system date to October 31 or November 1 and every guest and building will turn orange and black. You can also see buy a jack-o-lantern at the buildings and items menu and see a witch fly overhead.

Santa Claus
On the game date of December 25, Santa Claus will fly overhead.

Free animal
Place a male and female of your favorite animal together and they will give birth to a free animal.

Yellow brick road footpath
Just place a lion, tiger, and a bear in an exhibit.

Microsoft plane
On the game date of September 15, a biplane with the Microsoft logo will appear.

Christmas decorations
On the game date of December 25th, you will be able to buy Christmas Trees and Frosty the Snowman for your zoo.

Trio statue
Be victorious in the Super Zoo scenario.

Change pointer hand color
Just press [Ctrl] + C.

Unlimited money
Note: This cheat involves changing a game file, make a backup copy of the file before going on. Then use a text editor to edit the "zoo.ini" file in the game folder. Find these lines and change the values after the "=" as indicated. Note: The changes will only affect new games and do not work on saved games.

Hints & Tips

Crazy guests
When your guests are looking at an animal from the side of an exhibit, quickly pause the game and build another exhibit around the guests. Next place some lions or crocodiles in the exhibit and resume playing. The guests will begin running around screaming.

Free construction
Pause the game then start building. No money will be used.

Editable scenarios (beta version)
Note: This cheat involves changing a game file, make a backup copy of the file before going on. To change a scenario feature, edit a scn<number>.scn file, where <number> indicates the number of the scenario, located in the "scenario.zip" file.

More money (beta version)
Press [Shift] + 4 to receive $10,000. Note: When this code is used your park fences will break and your animals will escape. This code is best used prior any exhibits being built.

Note: This cheat involves changing a game file, make a backup copy of the file before going on. Open the "config.ztd" file with program that uncompresses .zip files, then search for the file "economy.cfg". Then use a text editor to edit that file and search for the "cash=50000" line. Enter the amount of money you wish to have, than save the file.

Note: This cheat involves changing a game file, make a backup copy of the file before going on. Then use a text editor to edit the "zoo.ini" file. Change the MSMaxCash value to a new amount for your starting money.

Also, when you use this code all your guests will turn unhappy, customer satisfaction will drop to zero, and all tank water will be polluted. It is suggested that it be enabled at the start of the game.

Raise recycling profit (beta version)
Note: This cheat involves changing a game file, make a backup copy of the file before going on. Open the "config.ztd" file with program that uncompresses .zip files, then search for the file "economy.cfg". Then use a text editor to edit that file and search for the "cZooDooRecyclingAmount" line. Change the number after this entry to change the profit of every recycle.

Completing the Breeding Giant Pandas scenario
To receive Panda Research you need to finish the Breeding Giant Pandas scenario. You need to breed Giant Pandas, but you cannot have them until you make fifteen excellent exhibits. You also need to do every Panda Research and get their cave and bamboo. You can then get only two pandas, one male and female. To raise your chance of breeding your pandas, build their exhibit, pause the game, then buy as many pandas as you need before resuming play. Then wait until the scenario is over.

No rubble or trampled terrain
Block off part of the exhibit then put terrain that can be trampled there. In their part of the exhibit, put Dirt, Sand, Brown or Gray Stone, or Snow. You can also use water as a fence if the animal are unable to swim.

Swimming guests
Build a water tank around a group of guests. The tank will fill up with water and the guests will start to swim.

Lower zoo keeper salaries (beta version)
Note: This cheat involves changing a game file, make a backup copy of the file before going on. Open the "config.ztd" file with program that uncompresses .zip files, then search for the file "economy.cfg". Then use a text editor to edit that file and search for the "cKeeperCost" line. Change the default value of 800 to a lower number.

Escaping monkeys
if the monkeys are put in an exhibit at ground level, sometimes the Chimpanzees will escape from their exhibit. It is is better if you lower the ground two or three levels then put a wall on top beside the pavement. However, do not put it on the low ground. The monkeys will not be able to reach the fence to jump out. Do not put any trees close to the edges. They could climb the trees. You now will have an exhibit they can't escape from. This can also be done for other animals.

Developer mode (beta version)
Press [Ctrl] + D for developer mode. This will allow you to move entrances, zoo walls, add odd buildings, and vehicles.

Toggle foliage display (beta version)
Press [Ctrl] + F.
