Cheat mode
Note: This cheat involves editing a game file so make a backup copy of the file before going on. Then use a text editor to edit the "ysf_win.ini" file in the "/documents and settings/<username>/application data/falcom/ysf_win/" directory. Find the "[game]" heading and change the lines below to:

GameClearFlag=3
GameClearFlag=1

Then start a new game or load a saved game. Then Time attack mode will be available. Now you can play time-attack mode without clearing game at least once. Then press one of the keys below to activate the desired cheat. Or beat Galbaran in Nightmare mode, then beat Berhard to access cheat mode.

Inferno mode
Finish the game within the nightmare difficulty setting. Note: This need's the patched version of the game.

Time attack mode
Finish the game completely.

Hard mode
Finish the game within the normal difficulty setting.

Nightmare mode
Finish the game within the hard difficulty setting.

Alternate costumes
Finish the game to access a new costume for Elena. A different costume will be available, depending on the difficulty setting. To access them, go into the configuration screen, then right click Elena.
