Cheat mode
Press [Tab] or ~ while playing in a botmatch to bring up the console window. Type enablecheats to enable the cheat mode. You can now type in one of the codes below at the console window to activate the desired cheat. Note: You have to do this every time you start a new level.

1. This is only available in the Editors Choice edition, or if you have downloaded the update patch for the Editors Choice edition.

Hints & Tips

Speed adrenaline combo
When your adrenaline get's to100 and it starts to flash, swiftly tap forward W four times for a speed power-up.

Self-heal adrenaline combo
When your adrenaline get's to 100 and it starts to flash, swiftly tap back S four times to get a self-heal power-up.

Invisibility adrenaline combo
When your adrenaline get's to 100 and it starts to flash, swiftly tap left strafe D two times then right strafe A two times to become invisibile.

Bonus characters
Note: This cheat involves modifying game files make a backup copy of them before going on. Then use a text editor to edit the "xplayersl1.upl" and "xplayersl2.upl" files in the "system" folder in the game directory. These are every characters that are available in the game. Locate any character that has a Menu= section that is not Menu="" and change it to Menu="" or Menu="SP". For example, Xan's Character reads Menu="XAN". If you changed this to Menu="SP" or Menu="" he will be available. The three characters that are locked are Malcolm, ClanLord, and Xan.

To access the bonus characters normally, finish the game on three different difficulty settings. They will be available in this order: Malcolm, ClanLord, and Xan.

Summon commands
When your using any of the summon codes, the object will appear on you. If you do not have God mode active, you will be killed instantly.

Hidden announcements
In the "Display Settings" menu, activate every checkboxes and set the detail settings to the highest value. Then, set your resolution to at least 1152x864. You will hear the announcer say "Holy shit".

Obtain 15 kills with the Flak Cannon and you will become a "Flak Monkey".

Obtain 10 to 15 "Head Shots" and you will become a "Head Hunter".

Switch to third person view easily
While playing, press [F4]. Then press it again to return to first person view. Note: This will also work for vehicles and turrets.

Berserk adrenaline combo
When your adrenaline get's to 100 and it starts to flash, swiftly tap forward W two times and back S two times.

Pint sized adrenaline combo
When the extra combo mutator is on, swiftly tap Left Strafe four times.

Camouflage adrenaline combo
When the extra combo mutator is on, swiftly tap Right Strafe four times.

Particle effect demonstration level
Simply use the open particleexamples.ut2 code to play a level that will demonstrate the game's particle effects.

Bridge Of Fate: Hidden Redeemer:
When your playing the CTF/BR level Bridge Of Fate, there are three possible exits/entrances to three different bridges. Reach the area with the Shield Pack +50 is at. Look towards the middle bridge, then look up and left. You should see a ledge sticking out of the wall, really high up. On top of that ledge is a Redeemer. The easiest way to get to it is to use the Translocator to teleport onto the piece of wall that sticks out a bit from the rest. From there, bounce the Translocator off the wall and land it on the platform with the Redeemer. Note: Once your on the platform, look straight across the room. You should see a second platform with a Big Keg of Health on it. Repeat this until you get to the Redeemer to grab it.

Kill levels
Note: To raise your kill level, you have to kill the number of people needed in a certain amount of time. For example, if you fail to go from four people killed to five quick enough, you will not receive the next kill level. The higher the kill level, the less time you have to kill that amount of people. In other words, you will have less time to go from Ultra Kill to Monster Kill than you will have to go from Double Kill to Multi Kill. The amount of time you have is decided by the difficulty level you are playing on and the kill level.

Level 1: Regular Kill: 1 Kill
Level 2: Double Kill: 2 Kills
Level 3: Multi Kill: 3 Kills
Level 4: Mega Kill: 4 Kills
Level 5: Ultra Kill: 5 Kills
Level 6: Monster Kill: 6 Kills
Level 7: Ludicrous Kill: 7 Kills
Level 8: Holy Shit Kill: 8 Kills

Secret messages

In the Deck 17 level, there are labels on the crates near the ASMD pickup. The labels read: "Extreme Temperature Containment System: Magma (Avg. Temp 1170°)".

On the side of the link gun pickup, where the energy conduit connects from the battery to the gun, there is a label on the side of the battery housing that says "Hose Goes Here You Stupid Dumbass". Also, underneath where it says GBR-22 on the side of the barrel, it says "Generative Beam Rifle", which is what GBR stands for.

On the HellBender's back license plate, underneath the name of the driver, it says "Licensed to Frag".

On rocket launcher ammunition, there is a label that says "WARNING: If you touch this, then you have a problem."

There are play, pause, stop, and eject buttons on either side of the Bio-Rifle.

On Minigun pickups, the tiny gear is missing.

On the side of the Redeemer missile, it says "Swallow This!"

There are many secret rooms in the game, that one can only get to by using the ghost code. These rooms do not have anything in them, and they are normally just concrete walls, floors, and ceilings. However, somewhere on any of the walls, floor, or ceiling, there is a bit of writing, that will say either "What are you doing here?" "You're not supposed to be here", or "Cheater."

In a few levels, there is a blue screen with scrolling text on it. The text is this:"There is no reality. There is only this. This time. This place. This Contest. Be the best. Unleash your power. Lead your team in a battle of the mind. Win the Tournament. If you can't, step aside for someone who will. Keep your eyes on the prize, and your finger on the trigger. If you're reading this, you're dead."
