Unlimited scrolls and potions
Simply use a fireball spell on a potion or scroll. Gather up the remains of the destroyed item and use it. The remains will have the same effect as the original potion or scroll and may be used an indefinite amount of time.

Extra gold
Locate an NPC that is willing to barter with you, then offer a trade of one gold piece for all the gold they have.
