Easy wins
Go into the quick race menu. Now set the strength for the other cars to 80%. Set your car's settings to no damage, no yellow flags, and no player breakdowns. This can be done for season races as well as quick races.

Gain laps
Note: First disable car damage in the game options. Then crash into another car to get a yellow flag. Stay at full speed and pass as many cars as you can, and ignore the yellow flag warnings. Then pull into the pits when the black flag appears for passing under the yellow. Your car should keep its lead after it comes out of the pits.

No caution laps
Simply press [Esc] to quit the race when the yellow caution flag is out. Now answer "Yes" to save the game. Then re-load the game and resume racing. The flag will be green after just one lap. Note: This will not work in the pace lap.

Faster Taladega speeds
Note: This cheat involves editing a game file so make a backup copy of the file before going on. Then enter the game directory and locate the "tracks/taladega/taladega.txt" file. Then use a text editor to edit this file. Find the line that starts with "SPDWY" and change the first number from "1" to "0". Any speeds over 230 miles an hour can now be achieved.

Faster pace car
Note: This cheat involves editing a game file so make a backup copy of the file before going on. Then enter the game directory and locate the file that matches a track, such as "/nascar2/tracks/bristol/bristol.txt". You can edit the speed of the pace car by finding the line that begis with "PACEA". Now change the last two numbers in the speed that you want to be the pace speed. Since the pace car is slow at accelerating, it will likely not reach anything high but it still exceeds its normal speeds.

Decals on painted car
If you wish to paint a car and you like it to have decals, right click the stamp at the top. You can select your driver's sponsor or a car number.

Always finish in first place
Simply turn your car around and ram the other cars until there are no more left. Then, turn the other way and to achieve an easy first place finish.

When your in championship or quick race mode, obtain the best qualifying time, then select "Next Session" until the race shows up. Then hold [Up] and press [Enter] and it will change to "Race Over". You will have achieved first place when you check the stats on that race. Note: You will not get any bonus points for winning when you use this trick in championship mode.
