Cheat mode
Press [Shift] + ~ while playing, then type in one of the codes below to activate the desired cheat.

Free ride extreme mode
Finish the game to access free ride extreme mode, which includes new cars and no police.

Finish every mission in Free Ride mode within the extreme difficulty setting to access every prototype car.

Easy money
Just kill the men in the all black suits with the black hat to earn $500 a piece.

Simply go into the country and speed in a fast car.

Just blow up cars for $100 a piece.

Drive taxis to earn more money.

The best way to get money in free ride mode is in the countryside on the main road. Speed down that road to collect $100 per second.

Hints & Tips

Quick gun
While your driving through the city, you will come across several police officers. You can run one of them down and pick up his standard issued gun. Your wanted level will rise, but diminish. This will work best if there is only one police officer, on foot, with no police officer witnesses.

In free ride mode, taxi drivers and sometimes regular motorists will carry the small brown revolver and the small silver revolver. Pull them out of their cars and kill them to get the weapon.

Killing people in black suits
Simply walk behind them and shoot them. This will work best with the sawed off shotgun.

Use a car for killing them and run them over. When they drop their weapons, they are dead.

When they are on the street, use the machine gun to spray them in the back. If done right, they will not have a chance to turn around.

Win the race
Simply drive up to the first checkpoint and slow down. Then behind the boulders is a patch of sand where you can drive onto the closed road. This of course is the "wrong way" and if you plan to go through it, you will be faster but not finish the lap. You will not win unless you do these things: Drive up to the end of the road, past the "Dunniel" sign, where you get your checkpoint information and select "Replace Car". The goal is now a few inches away. You need to do this five times. In doing this, you can finish the race in less than six minutes. Note: Be sure you do not crash on the closed road as the "Replace Car" might not work or will place you back to the first checkpoint.

If you have a steering wheel. Now gun it all the way on the first lap. Get in the first place position by the finishing straight. You can now go safely to the finish line. On the large banked corner at the end, go close to the wall as you will lose less speed.

Just switch to manual gear after you get past the stuck car. The gear then should switch to second. You will see the number "2" in the square in the middle of your speedometer. Stay in second gear until the end of the race. Now slow down before turns. You still need plenty of practice and know the track in order to come in first. Also, if you are not at least fifth place after the first lap and at least third place after the second lap, start over.

Shoot off tires
By aiming at tires and shooting where the bolts are, in the center. This will work best with the Tommy gun.

Vehicle kill zones
When your taking out a vehicle, these are the easiest and fastest ways to do it. Direct hits to the radiator in most cars will blow them up with two or three shots with the sawed-off shotgun. A few other good spots to hit are the front right, front left, and rear.

Fast reload
Simply press [Reload], then roll to the left or right.

Free repair to damaged car in freeride mode
If you have a flat tire or other damage to your car, drive out to the countryside so that a loading screen appears. After it's loaded, your car will be fixed.

Lose cops quickly
Reach a rail station, elevated rail station, or trolley. Then get in and wait until your wanted level goes down.

The best way to evade the police is make plenty of turns. The best turns are in front of or behind another car or the trolley. The police will attempt to make your turn, but will run into the car or trolley. You can also make turns between light posts that are close to the curb if your car is small or short enough. This will also work well in the first mission.

If you do have a gun and the cops are after you, you can loose them by shooting at them. This will take practice, but it can be done. You need to be on foot. Shoot both cops until their weapons fall. Any head shot work best. If you manage to kill both advancing officers, you will no longer be wanted. This will work best if there is only one car after you. The more the cars, the harder it is.

An Offer You Can't Refuse: Lose the gangsters
When you first start to drive, go all the way down the road and turn right. Now follow this road. This will lead you to where there is only a right turn. Make the turn. Look left, there seems to be a barrier blocking the ocean. At the beginning of the turn there is a hidden bottom where you can drive. If you slow down to 50 or 60 miles per hour, drive over the barrier. If your going slow enough, you can land at the bottom drive part. The enemy gangsters will not slow down. They will follow you over the barrier. If they have the right angle or speed, they will fly into the ocean or land upside down. If you have not gone over the ocean or flipped over, there is a ramp where you can escape the gangsters and complete the level.

Better Get Used To It: Bucket weapon
Vincenzo will give you a bat and a gun. Turn around and pick up the bucket that is in the room. You can use it as a weapon, and it is easier to control than the bat.

Créme de la Créme: Killing Morello
When you reach the countryside, keep a safe distance from Morello's car. He will then pass the airport. Keep om following him out to the bridge by the Lay-By. You will see that it is under construction. An intermission sequence where Tommy pushes Morello's car out over the bridge will begin, and the mission will be done. It is funnier to play the airport mission, but this is a lot faster.

Créme de la Créme: Easy completion
To finish the mission easier, ride alongside Morello's limo. Sam and Paulie will shoot through the glass with their Tommy guns and kill Morello without having to go into the airport.

Election Campaign: No chase
On the level that you assassinate the politician, at the end before you leave the prison, be sure you have killed everyone then waste your ammo that is left. In doing this, when you walk out into the street the man that searches you will say "You're clean. Sorry to waste your time", and you can get to the bar without being pursued.

Just For Relaxation: Getting the cigar crates
When the boss tells you he is going to the bathroom, follow him. He will walk up to a tree. Now take out the crowbar you got from the truck driver then hit the boss. He will go down with one swing. Then, walk back to the cigar crates. The man with the Thompson does not know that the crate should not be touched. Now drive the truck back to Paulie and Sam.

The Omeria: Save ammunition and time
When you go to find Frank's family, they are in a building. They are standing beside a phone. There is a man in the phone booth. He is calling the police because he heard gunshots. If you shoot him before the end of the phone call, the police will not be in the parking lot, and you can drive away.

Ordinary Routine: Easier mission
You can save a little effort by shooting the tires on the getaway car before you attempt to enter the hotel. It is easier than trying to shoot them while your driving at the same time.

First, aim at the center bolt of a wheel on the yellow car and shoot a tire off. Then, go in the room labeled "WC". No one is there. Grab the Tommy gun from the bed. On the wall is health for Sam. Do not grab it. Instead, wait outside the toilet and you will hear a flush. Kill the man who comes out of the toilet, then turn round and wait for men to reach the top of the stairs. Kill everyone. Now go down the stairs and kneel down. Then, kill everyone in the snooker room. Next, go back up and grab the health. Get the Tommy gun from behind the counter, then go in the room with no door to find Sam. An intermission sequence will start. Kill the fat man, Another intermission sequence will start, with a man trying to run away with your money. But he will not get in the car because of the missing tire. Shoot him with your Tommy to finish the mission

You Lucky Bastard: Thomson gun
When you have to take Pauly to kill Segerio Morello and have to escape instead of running, get out of the car and kill all of your enemies. Then search their bodies. From one of them, you will get a Thomson 1928 which is handy at the harbor.

Free Lassiteer V16 roadster
Go into free ride mode and choose City-Small and any car. Then drive around in the "working quarters" until you find a two story garage next to a building with a sign that reads "Lost Heaven Hardware Co.". Drive up the ramp to the second level. In the corner, there should be a large green car. Now walk over and get in. It is unlocked and you do not need to know how to steal it in order to it. This car is fast and is rare. You will receive money for driving it dangerously fast without crashing. If you happen to crash, it is durable and will be able to withstand plenty of damage. If you have trouble finding it, it is the cement two level garage in the work quarters next to a main road with trolley tracks running on it. There is also a main road that goes under the train tracks and runs past the grain silos.

Ordinary Routine: Extra health
If you are having problems finishing the motel part of the mission, use this trick to get extra health. If you go into the second door on the right in the hall, after you have broken into the hotel from the back, walk straight ahead. Then, turn to your right. You will see another door. Go in this door and you will see a medicine cabinet. Now pess [Action] at the medicine cabinet to receive 30 more health points. Try to save them until you need them. Futher on in the mission you need to put up with a few fists of fury after a few punches and bullets.

Ordinary Routine: Tommy gun
When you do climb your way to the top door, go in and walk to the end of the hall. Then open the door labeled "WC" and kill the man in there. Then go to the closed door parallel to where you came in.Then open it and enter. There is a box with health inside, and a Tommy gun laying on the bed.

You Lucky Bastard: Take out snipers
When you go into the dock, obtain a truck and drive to the other entrance to the harbor. Close by there is a house with a man. Kill him. He has a US rifle, which you should use to shoot the round fuel containers by the crane towers. The snipers will not shoot you, and you will get to see a fireworks display.
