Madden Cards Obtain a "Gold" in the drills listed below in mini-camp mode
to access the matching card.
NFL Superstar mode: Better player Be sure your father is a Hall of Fame RB. When you are
drafted, you want to get on a team like the 49ers or any team
with a bad RB. With those teams you will do great. Also if you
reach the playoffs, play the games with two minute quarters.
They are fast and easy to win.
Use this trick to get 90-99 as
a linebacker. If you go to the rosters make the team have
90-99 open on every team and make 50-59 not open. Then,
create an NFL player. When you are drafted, go
to the mirror. The only numbers open are 90-99.
Just have a Probowl RB father and a
track running mother. They should also have an average IQ or
maybe a bit higher.
While in NFL Superstar mode you will
create a player with your supposed "parents" past. But when you
get drafted you may not be the starter. To change this go to
your computer and search for the "Depth Chart". Put your player
ahead of the starter. Note:
This will not change your players stats, and your team may
become worse.
NFL Superstar mode: Choosing an
agent If you have a player whose
personality rating is "Disruption", choose Jason Morales as your
agent. He can normally get you a movie deal before the first
season starts. Keep clear of Aubrey DeLong. He is not a good
negotiator and it takes to long to get an endorsement.
NFL Superstar mode: New apartment If you do win a Super Bowl and are
inducted to the Pro Bowl, you will move into a new apartment.
NFL Superstar mode: Interview
questions Simply choose your answers to
interview questions intelligently. The answers will affect your
personality type and endorsement companies want a player with a
more conservative personality type, like "Team Leader" or
"Professional".
To start almost instantly in NFL
Superstar mode, create a quarterback or running back, as many
teams have holes to fill at those positions. The only teams that
you will not start for are the Patriots, Steelers,
Rams, Eagles, Colts, or Titans. Now get a Hall of Fame father that
was a great dual threat QB, because he is easy to fill your
rushing yards career goal as a QB. Be sure your running back
father was a Hall of Fame running back that was a great all
around back, as most of the time you have receiving career goals
also.
When your starting NFL Superstar mode try to
select a father that is a Hall Of Famer and a mother or father
that has a high IQ.
When your selecting your parents,
search for
Olympic sprinters or a Hall Of Fame DB dad. Do not worry about being too weak for the
position, make your player muscular. Your DE or LB
player will be quick and you will destroy offenses.
NFL Superstar mode: Mansion Simply win the Super Bowl two
times and get into the Pro Bowl each time.
NFL Superstar mode: Switching teams When you do become a key player to
a team, you can upgrade to an excellent agent. Then, after two
seasons you can resign with almost any team you like.
NFL Superstar mode: Easy practice
points Simply create someone as a QB,
then go into a practice and select a HB Swing. Then have the
defense do FG Block. When you say hike, lob the pass to your RB,
He will score a touchdown for 48 points each time.
Use this trick for easy
practice points with a defensive superstar. Now choose a field goal
or punt block play on defense and I-Formation Fake FB Toss on
defense. This an easy play to stop, if you are quick
enough you can knockdown the toss from the QB to the HB causing
a fumble. By returning a fumble for a TD earns you over 80 points.
Choose any defensive play and select Special Teams QB Kneel on
offense. The QB will kneel and earn you 15 points on each play.
You can setup the practice and let it run. You will have an
"A" rated practice and a large boost whenever you
decide to stop and none of your players will be hurt.
This trick needs a good QB, and a decent WR, and Agility, some Awareness, and a
good
catching ability at 80 to 95. Set them both as starters
if they are not. Then, go into training camp. Wth your
good QB and WR, select Ace TE Drag as your offensive play. It
should be under Singleback-Deuce under the Colt Playbook. Be
sure the decent WR is on the far left route. As a defensive
play, pick Man Flats. Then start your play, and if you WR is
fast enough, throw the ball before he hits the 10 yard line.
Also use
precision pass and rapidly press [Left] or
[Up]
depending on the defenders position.
Pick a formation with at least three
receivers, Then, choose a play that has an inside receiver doing
a slant or short post. Now pick the defense 4-3 Engage Eight or 3-4
renegade. Throw the ball to your slanting receiver each
time. He will be wide open and get tackled for 17 to 48 points
on each play.
Simply choose a deep pass play on
offense. Then choose I Field Goal Block on the defense. You
should be able to get a touchdown each time.
Use this trick to get easy
training camp and practice points for offensive players.
Now select the Hail Mary for an offense play. For defense, select
Goaline and the Blitz C. Now call a Hot Route to have your left
outside receiver run a 5 and out towards the sideline. The left
slot receiver will be open each time to get a touchdown. When
completed you will get an "A" for a practice grade
and boost your player's stats.
In order to get a higher overall
easier, go to the options screen. Select "A.I." and move all of
the human settings up and the CPU down. It should now be easier
to pickoff, sack, and throw Hail Marys to your receiver with no
problem. If you want more points, set the time to five minutes.
Simply choose the "Weak I-Twins WR"
formation and choose the "HB Lead" play going to the right. For
the defense, choose the "Special Teams" formation and choose the
"Punt Block" play. See that the fullback is offset to the left.
Highlight him then motion him to the right. He will block the
only man that can come free in the play. There will either be a
gap that the fullback has made that you can run through, or you
can bounce it to the outside with the RB. Switch the ball into
the right hand so you can use the stiff arm on the player that
was supposed to be receiving the ball. He should be the only man
there to beat to the endzone.
If your player is on defense, go to
practice and select "QB Kneel Down" as the offensive play.
Then choose any play on defense. The QB will kneel the ball and you
will receive 15 points every time without doing anything.
NFL Superstar mode:
Increased stats You can get your Overall,
Awareness and Stamina up in practice mode by having your
superstar obtain practice points by getting a large gain on offense
with your superstar, or creating a large loss with your superstar
on defense. You also can get your stats up by getting an agent
that has the Performance Institute and obtain a medal on it.
Bronze: 3 points
Silver: 4 points
Gold: 5 points
Note: Your
stats are not eternal. They will be reset after each game. You
need to do the practices and Performance Institute again to get
them back up.
In order to max out your stats, during
the week of a game when you are on a game day, select the game.
You will have the option to play or sim the game. Go back, then
go to the Performance Institute. Go to whatever drill possible.
Keep on repeating this until you have the attributes you want.
Note:
This will lower your stamina. The best option would be to turn
game fatigue off. Note:
The stats do not completely carry over to the next week, and if
you simulate your games your performance will be affected by the
weakened stamina. By turning off game fatigue will only work if
you really play the game.
NFL Superstar mode: Getting drafted In order to get drafted to
whatever team you want, first edit the roster of the team you
want to be on. Then lower the stats of every player in the
position you want to play to 0. Next, create your player and you
will have a chance of going to that team, due to all their
players being bad.
NFL Superstar mode: Better IQ If your IQ results are low,
save your game before the IQ day and try it again until your
percentage is high. The same can be done for the draft. Save
your
game before the draft. If you do not like the team that drafted
you, you can do it over.
NFL Superstar mode: Performance
Institute The Performance Institute is
only a short-term thing. But this trick can help
you player achieve higher levels with no sacrifice over the
course of his career. Now during Spring Training hold off on
using the Performance Institute until Sunday. Then on Sunday, do the
Performance Institute drills. When the season starts you will
remain at the increase until Sunday, the day of the game. Before
you start the game, do the Performance Institute drill like you
did in Spring Training. Now play the game on Sunday. When the game
is over go to Monday do not advance to the next day. Remain on
Monday. Because there is a game to be played which will not be
your team, go to the Performance Institute. The drill should be
available for you to do, based on your position.
Note: These
points are permanent, as long as you continue to do the same
week in and week out. The only catch is you have to use them on
one attribute at a time until it is maxed and it must be the
same drill you did on Sunday. For example, if you raised Speed
on Sunday, you have to dump all the points into Speed on Monday.
If you dumped all the points on Sunday into Agility, then on
Monday's drill you have to dump them all into Agility. In the
course of the season you will see your stats lose the points
from Sunday, as those are the temporary. But they still show the
other points from Monday. These are cumulative points, but you
need to space it out to get 99. If you get to 93 and the max
points you can earn in the drill is 7, you will not end on 99.
It would be 100, but since you cannot use every point, those 7
from Monday will be lost. Earlier in the season you will have to
place a set of points to help making the last attribute addition
become 99. This rule is for each category you want to raise.
NFL Superstar mode: Getting traded After you have created a player and
sign an agent, go to the draft. Then start the draft. You will
be selected in the third round. If you do not like the
team you are drafted by, then simulate the preseason. When the
preseason is over go to your agent's office on the city map.
Scroll down to "I demand a trade". You will be traded to another
team. If you don't that team also, then demand another trade.
Just be careful, as you can only demand two trades until the next season.
In order to get traded to a team you
like, be sure auto save is off then save your game before you
ask to trade. Trade, and if you do not like team you have been
traded to quit. Then reload trade until get the team you want.
It will be a different team each time.

Hints & Tips
Easy sacks Just be a defensive lineman and
back up a couple of feet. When the play starts, run forward and
hitsick an offensive lineman. He will fall down and your person
will still be running towards the quarterback. Then get a sack.
Simply go to the settings and turn off
offsides. Obtain a fast runner, go to the line of scrimmage, and
keep on running. He will be running in place. When the QB calls
hike, he will run past the defenders and have a sack. This will
work 80% of the time.
Pause your game, then go to the
settings. Go to the penalties, turn off offsides. You will
now be able to hold [Run] and
not cross the line of
scrimmage. Then grab a linebacker and set a new record for sacks in a
game.
Line up in the 4-3 defense and run the
LOLB <player's name> Blitz, and use it for
each play.
You will get between five and ten sacks per game. This is a
good way to develop young linebackers.
Easy touchdowns Take the best wide receiver on
your team and place him in the tightend position. Then audible
his route so he does a fly route. Since he has a
low overall rating, they might have a line backer on him or
he might not even be covered. Throw it to him and he will easily
be able to run past the defense.
Before you play a game, when you are
selecting your jersey choose a different playbook. Now select the
"NE-Coach" playbook. On offense, first down or any down,
be sure you have a fast wide
receiver like Santana Moss or Randy Moss. Then choose the
"SIngleback- Twin TE WR" formation. Next, select the play "PA
Rollout". Now audible all your players to do a five yard in, except
for the optioned WR and TE on the right-hand
side. Now snap the ball and roll out to your right. Keep on rolling out
and wait until the play develops, which will only a short time.
Throw the ball to the optioned WR when he is wide open. If there
is a CB waiting there to intercept the ball, lob the ball
to your TE who will be wide open. About 90% of the time
the WR will be wide open. This should result in a gain of 17 yards. Do not
overuse this play. Normally if the WR is fast, he will burn
the CB, LB, SS, etc., catch the ball, and run for a touchdown.
If the ball gets knocked down or intercepted, it is because you did not execute the play
right. This play has to be
executed well for it to work. You should try practicing it
with your franchise team/Superstar team before you try using it
in a game. The Redskins are a good choice for this play, because
they have a good QB and Santana Moss.
Easy 2 points After you have scored a touchdown, go
for two. Then select the play "FB Run". Snap the ball, run up
some, then dive into the endzone. Your fullback should dive
over the linemen and go into the endzone. This will work 95%
of the time.
Punting Due to the reason that the punt
blockers do not like to block much, you should select the "Punt
Block" formation instead of any other punt return formation.
With the "Punt Block" formation, the punting team will not be
spread out and allow your blockers to
block for you which in turn will give you more time to
field the ball and have some space to start something big.
Onside kicks This trick will work with any
kicker. When you are kicking off, select "Onside Kick" when the
return team is switching formation. When they are set, take the
power bar to the top, but do not select it. Bring it
all the way down so that the power is at 31. Then make your
accuracy 97 to 99. The ball will hit the ground and go up
straight up in the air each time. Then have one of your Kick Off
that is close to the ball sprint toward it. This will make all your
players follow, and you will get it every time.
Easy Madden Tokens Simply go to "Features" at the
main menu. Then select "Historic Teams" and you can adjust any
of the teams' player's stats. Set the "Speed", "Awareness", and
"Tackling" to "0". Now save that team as an exported team and
you can select that team to play against in All-Madden for an
easy win.
Easy blocked field goals and punts When your playing against the CPU
and it is a punt or field goal situation, switch to the end
player on defense. If the opposing punt team is in a regular
punt formation, select punt block on defense. The offense will
adjust to a protection formation. Before
the last player makes his adjustment, he puts his hands on his
knees. If you start to charge at the kicker you should not
receive a
penalty if timed right. You will get an extra jump on the
kicker and should tackle him or block the punt or field goal.
Suggested
defense Pick a Nickel defense and go to
Overstorm Brave. When your defense goes to the line, move your
defensive line out, your linebackers in, and your defensive
backs in. Then select any of the defensive lineman or linebackers.
This will work 85% of the time.
Easy training camp points When your on offense, select an
offense with three receivers. Trip Bunch in Single Back
formation works well. Put the defense on goal line Zone CB
cover. In doing this, no one will rush your QB, and once your
receiver gets past the zone, they are left unguarded in the
endzone for a 48 points per play usually. This should work with most short zone coverages and does
not take many tries to learn which receiver to pick, mostly
anyone running a long slant.
Increase salary cap Use this trick to
raise your salary cap by severalmillions. This will work with or without
fantasy draft. First, simulate the draft or
you can pick your players yourself. Trade for all the players
you want. After your satisfied with your team , have one extra player
in every position. Select a player, go to "Edit Player", then to
"Information". Then go down to position and change the players
position. Then, release the edited player. Resign the player. Do this to all your
players except the extra ones, which you should lose. For
an great FB, turn Jamal Lewis into a FB. All line backers
make good DEs. Turn QBs into WRs. Turn HBs, FBs, and TEs into MLBs. Turn all OL
into DEs. Turn all DL into OL. Turn all LBs into HBs. Turn all
WRs into HBs. Turn all DBs into WRs. WRs, SSs, FSs, and CBs, are
hard to do this with
Create low paid all-star QB Just create a punter or kicker
with all his attributes at the max, including passing. You will
sign him for a low salary because he is a kicker. Then, set him
as the starting quarterback on the depth charts as the season
starts. You will now have the best kicker/punter and QB in the
league. You can also maximize all passing attributes and take
the kicking attributes down to sign him at a lower price.
Getting good players Use this trick to get
a great team in franchise mode with no high salary cost. Start
a new franchise. Then pick a team. Do a fantasy draft and pick all
the worst players. Then, release all of them and make your team
from scratch, through create-a-player mode. When done with the
height, faces, etc., do not change the attributes. Now save the
player and sign him. When you sign him, go back to
create-a-player. Select his name and change all his attributes
to maximum. Redo this until you have a stacked team. The
reason that all the worst players were selected is to keep you
from having a high cap penalty in the next season.
When your in franchise mode, if you
choose Fantasy Draft and you want a cornerback but the good ones
are gone, do not worry. If it is the first round, draft a QB,
RB, or WR. Then, in the next round draft Ed Reed. After the
Fantasy Draft, switch Ed Reed to a cornerback. You will need
three SS, including Ed Reed. Also in the Fantasy Draft, pick up
Rodney Harrison. He will be a 98 overall. Then, pick Sean Taylor
and Troy Polamalu for your starting safeties.
Before you go into franchise mode, go to
"View Rosters". Go to any player that you want on your fantasy
team. Now edit that player and go to the "Information" screen.
Change the player's position to something different than what
they start at. For example, edit Randy Moss and change his
position from "WR" to "HB". This will make his overall stats for
the new position low, since they do not play it. Continue
editing the position of the players that you want on your
fantasy team. When you are done editing, go to franchise
mode, turn "Fantasy Draft" on, select your team, then start the
draft. Sign the players in the draft that are available that
you were not able to change positions, then simulate the others.
When the draft is over, go to the rosters then to "Free Agents".
Go to the positions that you changed your players to and sign
them for seven years and for the least amount you can.
Note: A few
of the players may have been drafted since they were still
decent at the new position. Release the players from your team
as you are signing the players you picked to allow enough room
on your roster. You can trade for the players that you edited
and got drafted. When you get every player that had edited
positions, edit them again and change their positions back to
what they normally play. You will be able to have the players
you wanted and for a low price.
Sign created player with high
attributes for three years When you do create a player, make
him a free agent. Then, set his attributes to 75. Next, sign
the player for any team you want. Go to that team's rosters and
edit his attributes. You can make them as high as 99. When you go
to franchise mode with the team the player you created will be
on the team with a contract for three years.
Easy first round first pick Do this in franchise
mode to get a good rookie draft pick. First go to create a player.
Make his age 45. Set his years pro at 27. He does not need a
name, leave it at "New Player". Then skip over "Build", "Appearance",
and "Equipment". Go to attributes and set "Awareness" to 99.
Then, go to "Throw Power" and "Throw Accuracy" and make them
99. Quit and save your created player. Then, sign the
player. Trade him to the team with the first round first pick.
You should now have the first pick in the draft, 99% of
the time.
Get your team in first place at a good
record at week 13 to 16. Attempt to get twelve wins. Then, go
to "Standings" in "Play Week" to learn which team is
the worst. Go
to "Trade Player" and select your first round pick.
Then go to the
worst team and select their first and second round picks. Next,
go to the second worst team and trade your second, third and
fourth picks for their first and fourth round pick.
Use this trick to get the
first pick in every round in the draft. Turn off the
trade deadlines. Then, trade all of your picks with the team
with the worst record before the wild card week. You will
receive
all of their picks, and if you have a good season, you can even
trade one of your picks for two of theirs.
Injured players Just go into the depth chart
and switch an injured player with the regular starter. They will
act as if they had no injury.
Touchdown celebrations If you are playing as either
Donovan McNabb or Daunte Culpepper and you are tackled into the
endzone scoring a touchdown, they will do their trademark
dances. Daunte will "get his roll on" and Donovan will do the
moonwalk.
