Cheat mode
Start a game using the "-console" command line parameter. Then press ~ to display the console window, then type in sv_cheats 1 before you load a game or level to enable the cheat mode. Type in one of the codes below at the console window to activate the desired cheat.

god God mode
noclip No clipping mode
impulse 101 All weapons
sv_gravity <number> Set gravity; 800 is default.
sv_accelerate <number> Set jump distance; 10 is default
skill <1-3> Set skill level; 1 is easiest
chase_active <0 or 1> Toggle third person view
map <level name> Level select

Hints & Tips

Secret box
First enable the impulse 101 code. When you are in the main room, go to the bathrooms and open your locker. Now take out a powerful weapon or a crowbar and crouch down and start beating at the box. After you beat the box with a crowbar more than 50 times, or shooting it with a laser or some other kind of powerful weapon, it will break open. There will be a live alien in the box. You cannot do anything but look at it.

When you get out of the tram and the guard is having trouble opening the door, turn around. In time another tram will pass by with Gordon Freeman on it, which is the start of Half-Life.

Kill Gordan Freeman
When your on the train enable the noclip and impulse 101 codes. When the train drops you off at the platform, look at the platform that you just went by. Fly over there, and if you get there soon enough pull out your crowbar. Then hit him until he explodes.

Guard showdown
First start a new game and before the train stops moving, enable the impulse 101 code. When the guard is trying to open the locked door, press [F6] to quick save. Have a weapon ready. When he opens the door, wait for him to open the door on the other side of the room. When that is open, shoot his foot. He will say something similar to "What do you want on your tombstone?", etc. and begin to shoot at you. He will kill you if you do not kill him first. If you do kill him, you will not get into trouble. Now press [Esc] and load the game that you quick saved. Do the same thing, and he will say something else. At times, he will not attack. Do not do this with any other guard except when you shoot them you will be fired for mishandling a firearm.
