Copying
items Simply place the object to be
copied in your inventory and save the game. Now start a new game
with two characters. Give the other character the item to be
copied. Then, load the game. You and the other character will
still have the item.
Note: This
cheat will stop working in time. After one or two times, you
have to play to get either a level up or a crystal to get the
first persons items back. After four or five times, you will not
be able to get your items back.
Unlimited chicken legs When your in the land of Ardyl,
the town nearby will ask you to recover the Horn Of Plenty for
them. Instead of giving it back, you can keep it and obtain
unlimited chicken legs. Keep right clicking on the Horn Of
Plenty. At the end of the game you will need all seven crystals,
go back and give the horn back to the town for the last crystal.
Avoid player killer problems Use these steps to save your
game when your playing over a network. Now copy your save files
to another directory that is outside of the DarkStone directory
before you join a network game. To restore a save, reload
DarkStone from the CD, then copy the saves from the outside
directory.
Hidden song Just throw coins in the bard's
tray in the center of town while in a single player game.
Extra gold Begin a new game and give all
your money from one character to the other character. Then start
another new game, and select the money holder as one character
and create a new character. Now transfer 1500 gold from the new
character to the money holder. Redo as you like to build your
gold up.
When you are far along in the game, buy
a mace from the priest section of the "Buy" menu, then sell it.
You will receive more money than what you paid for it.
Buy a level 1 Repair skill and leave
the town. Now start battling monsters and getting the equipment
that they will drop. When you reach the point that you cannot
pick up anymore equipment, start fixing your inventory. When
your done, go to the town and sell all the equipment to get more
gold. Each time you get gold it will raise your Repair level up
by one.
Start a new game as the person you wish
to be strong and rich like character one, and a monk as
character two. Then start in the town, and have your monk give
your other character everything. Get to the weapon shop and sell
the club, then to the magic shop and sell the book. Now take the
money back to the weapon shop and choose "Upgrade". Keep
upgrading your weapon, armor, and other items. Then, go to the
Land Of Ardyl and fight. You will level up, or at least plenty
of experience points. Then, select "Quit" from the menu and
answer "Yes". Then, start a new game, delete the monk, use that
same person as character one. Then make a new monk, use him as
character two, and redo this.
To build gold quicker, begin a new game
in single player mode as the monk. Take the Book Of Resurrection
and his other equipment. Sell the book for 15,000 gold. This
will get you 16,500 gold just for this character.
Start a new single player game with
your character and the monk. Transfer his spell book to your
character, then sell it for 17,000 Gold. Also use this with the
Sorcerer to obtain Magic Missile early.
In order to do this trick, you need to
have at least 10,001 gold in the bank, and a full inventory,
with one slot empty. Withdraw 10,000 gold and throw it on the
ground. Now take 1 gold and attttempt to pick up the 10,000. The
game will not let you, so throw it on the ground again. Now look
at the gold in your inventory to find 10,000 gold. Now deposit
the 10,000 gold and withdraw 1 gold again. Pick up the 10,000 on
the ground, then repeat as often as you like.
Obtain enough money then buy as many
maces that you can hold. Note:
If you hear the sound of the wind, you will drop every mace that
do that noise. Then sell the maces. You will make 600 gold.
Selling equipment easily Just play as a mage with the
spell Magic Door. When you cannot carry anymore, use the Magic
Door spell to return to town. While ther sell all of the
equipment you need to sell and rest for 100 gold. Now go back
through the gate and grab the items you need. Repeat this as
often as you like.
More money for items You will normally get more for
selling items if you fix them first.
Extra food When your in the scenario were
you have to get the Horn Of Plenty, keep on using Abundance to
keep getting chicken legs.
Healing your character The best way for you to heal
your character is to go to town and talk to Madam Irma. Now
select "Cure". Not only will this heal your character and
detoxify him/her from poison, but also save on food.
Watch FMV sequences Place the Darkstone disc into the CD-ROM drive. Then select
"My Computer", and right-click the Darkstone icon. Then click
"Explore" and open the "mdata" folder. The video-clips are FMV
sequences used.
Beating Draak Before he transforms, use Magic
Door and obtain potions and equip the best fire resistance items
then head back out. Now let him transform, then equip a long
range weapon. Then use the orb and belt potions and return to
the entrance until you cannot see Draak. Fire in the direction
Draak was standing. After a short brieftime, an intermission
sequence will appear and you will have beaten the Dragon. Grab
the key, scale, and hand then open the gate. Grab the money and
gate to town.
Do not use the hammer your given to
beat Draak. Instead, buy bows through the game. Then each time
you buy a high power bow after a level or two, a new higher
power bow will be at Gunther's store. Buy that one, and sell the
old one. Then use a bow with 40% to hit or higher. With that
bow, you can stand out of Draak's reach and kill him. First,
equip you bow and reach a corner where Draak cannot get to you.
Start hitting him. Make sure the X Draak appears in your text
box. He will groan every time you hit him. Thunder will sound
when he re-energizes. Now count the number of times you hit him
before he re-energizes his power. If it is fifty or under, you
are ok. Put the Time Orb on your belt. If he re-energizes at
forty-nine hits, count up to forty-eight hits and activate the
Time Orb. He will die at the forty-seventh hit the next time.
Level up faster Simply create a new character,
then begin a new quest. When you are in town, equip the items
you have. After you do this, exit town and start to fight the
enemies. When you level up, save your attribute points. Keep on
doing this in Ardyl until you are comfortable with the level you
are at. You should get to expert level in one hour. This will
work as if you are at level two the whole time. By doing this
trick can turn a warrior into a warrior/wizard.
Note: If you
quit the quest, this will not work or if you are leveling up
slowly buy learning.
